Service was slow and very pedantic, just because it’s in the Michelin guide, it doesn’t mean that needs to be pedantic, we had -2 courses, 2 were good. I go to restaurants almost everyday and this was one of the most disappointing ones, took 30 mins just to get a drink, definitely don’t recommend, if you want to waste your time (and money), go to O Palco.

Great Place. Should be getting a Michelin Star! We ate there July 28, 2025. You almost certainly will need a reservation. Plan on a nearly 4-hour experience. All food is sourced within 60 km of the restaurant. At our visit there was an 8-course tasting menu for 90E and a 5-course for 45E. There was also a vegetarian option with the same number of courses and the same price. Also a 12 course menu for 140E which was the 8 course tasting menu plus 4 "surprises". There is an also a children's menu with 6 courses for 25E plus a "baby option " menu. Our food was fantastic. Both in taste and presentation. The wine pairings for the main and vegetarian menu were 40E/50E. Wines were great. Food was great. Service was beyond great. It was a wonderful experience. The only suggestion I would have ........the day we ate there, the T was around 37c/99f and the restaurant was very warm well into the late evening. The kitchen is close and it gets warm/hot. Fans would be helpful

9.5/10Their food experience is quite high level. We had the 5 scene-programme. Our only (tiny) remark would be: coffee as scene 5 we believe to be the weakest link in the programme, since the coffee was too light to our taste. Price/Quality: great

10/10A memorable dining experience! The food is always interesting , often surprising and with many delicious moments we wanted to repeat. The menu is full of bold and adventurous concepts executed with a lot of care, research and thought. The wait staff were so knowledgeable and also show a lot of attention to detail while making us feel comfortable. We will be talking about this for a while.

10/10Recommended by friends and we were so glad we followed their advice. Extraordinary meal. Incredible attention to detail, exquisite flavours, friendly and informative staff. A bit out of town and in an unremarkable building but don’t let that put you off. A clear 10 out of 10.

You choose from several menus with optional wine pairings that are delicious and display the varied cuisine of the region and country more broadly. We selected the 7 course meal with wine pairings that was exquisite from start to finish. You will not regret booking a reservation here. Plan ahead to experience this alimentary delight.

9.5/10Excellent creative dishes as part of a tasting menu (with 5, 7, or 10 courses as desired), all beautifully presented. Serving staff were charming and gave a lot of helpful information about each 'scene' within the different 'acts'. Highly recommended.

10/10Our diner at O Palco was quite of an experience. We chose the vegetarian menu which took us into an incredible journey tasting magnified locally produced ingredients. We highly appreciated the very creative talent of the chef. It was a feast for our palate and our eyes. I need to stress as well the kindness and great professionalism of the service. O Palco: a real Coimbra gem

9/10We travelled to coimbra for the sole purpose of eating in o palco and were not disappointed. Run by a couple who are obviously passionate - about their food -and when I asked the female side who looked after us how she knew (as she obviously did) so much about food I was told “by living with the chef”!

Had the 12-scene tasting menu, and were truly wowed by the thoughtful execution of each dish showcasing local ingredients. Each dish was carefully conceived, perfectly executed, and presented with a great flourish with details on its ingredients and inspirations.

10/10This was a special occasion dinner and the dinner experience at O Palco delivered! From the beginning to the end, every detail was well done. Each course and wine pairing were explained in wonderful detail and challenged our assumptions of each dish in a delicious way. The service was outstanding and everyone made us feel comfortable and dedicated to our celebrations too. Highly recommend!

The meal started with me requesting to pick the seven courses. The waitress said, "No, you have to trust us." This made me nervous, but I am glad we did! The dinner was like little Christmas presents, each a unique surprise. We took a tour of wines and the history of Coimbra through the flood. Our waiter was a guide, and we enjoyed the tour. Thanks for an amazing meal and experience. It was a magical night!!

9.5/10A TO DO restaurant! Discovery of this region of Portugal in an original way. Voyage culinaire with authentic explanations. Kids also gastronomically spoiled. The (best) table in front of the kitchen shows what happens behind the screens… Strongly recommended!
