Have eaten 3 times here in a week ! 2 lunches Excellent, and one dinner OK/good ( the steak was a bit tough and the gnocchi a bit hard). The waiting staff are really professional and friendly. Would recommend, especially their lunches. Am likely to return again before going home to UK at the middle of next week. They really deserve a high rating.

This was possibly the best meal I have had in years….and I eat out frequently! The prawn starter inspired joy, sadness and anxiety: joy in the eating, sadness when it was finished and anxiety that the main would somehow be less than magnificent. My anxiety was all for nought; the fish risotto made me stop, savour and dive in with the gusto of a famished man. My senses could hardly believe the depth of flavour, the freshness of the fish and how well it was all balanced! Sublime. Again, anxiety crept in: surely a savoury meal of this quality would leave the chef exhausted, as empty as my plate was? But no, like the marathon runner with one last spurt of energy…the dessert was that last essential thrust! A divine celebration of passion fruit atop a delicate layer of philo. A masterclass in a meal that left me satiated and blissful yet wanting to do it all over again.

Hello, We have become happy regulars at Quinto Imperio. This time, on September 10th, we invited a couple of friends. The meal was perfect, Portuguese dishes revisited with refinement. Young and very friendly staff. Now a must-visit, Frédéric Marenne, Eupen, Belgium.

brilliant welcome by the staff and a great bottle of wine with the meal. the server recommended the clams that were just in and they were very tasty. I thought that was a great start. I had the duck and my wife had the beef rib. The duck was not cooked enough for me the fat had no colour or crisp to it and I found everything on the plate under seasoned. The beef rib was lovely but the accompaniments were underwhelming and under seasoned maybe a rich sauce or something with the beef would have been better.

Our dining experience was excellent from the starter to the dessert. The fish was of outstanding quality and prepared in beautifully crafted dishes. It is definitely worth the drive to visit this restaurant. The dessert, a filo pastry with passionfruit and coconut cream, was a delicious finale. The wines are also very good. A small tip: be sure to reserve in advance to enjoy the full experience, as the restaurant closes early.

The menu offers different and exciting choices. Octopus tempura for me and ceviche for my wife. For main course I had beef short rib. It was outstanding, melt in your mouth and my wife had sirloin steak, cooked exactly to order. Service was first class and wine list has plenty of choice with good wines starting at €16 which I thought was reasonable. A great dining experience which I highly recommend

Everything was absolutely perfect! The owner and waiters were really friendly, professional and gentle (my girlfriend spilled food on herself, the waiter saw that and gave her something to clean her dress with, in a very discrete way). They suggested us the right wine and the food was delicious. Would definitely recommend!

Amazing dinner at O Quinto Imperio! We had the clams, pulled pork tacos, ceviche, and magret of duck — all beautifully prepared and packed with flavor. The octopus was the star of the night: perfectly tender and delicious. We finished with a yummy dessert that hit the spot. Great atmosphere, great service — highly recommend!

We have been a few times within a year, the food and the service are consistently good or over and beyond our expectations. Great atmosphere for both family gathering or romantic dinner. The location is a bit off the city center but it is well worth a detour with a private parking lot next to it. Highly recommended!!

An awesome menu and a very accomplished chef. I have eaten some fabulous meals whilst in Portugal but this really is up there from a flavour, portion size and very simply some great cooking. A good and knowledgable waiting staff are on hand to guide you through choices. But in short it should be on your short list if you’re in the area. A great Chef!

Had a lovely meal here for the second time this week. I follow a carnivore lifestyle and there was plenty of choice on the menu for this way of eating. I treated myself to a glass of wine and a dessert, though, so back on the wagon now.......until next time!
