10/103 of us went on NYE and were kindly greeted immediately. They are super friendly and we all cracked a few jokes throughout the night whenever they would check in on us. Because of the high bookings on NYE they informed us there was a set menu (vegetarian & meat) however if you didn't want anything on the set menu, they wouldn't mind going a la carte. Food was DELICIOUS and plenty enough for 3 people despite the dishes looking small. The set menu was for 2 people but the chef happily offered to make us a bit extra to ensure there was enough for us all, as well as adding a dish from the vegetarian set menu we really wanted to try. Once the plates came out chef even offered to bring more rice if we wanted some. The lamb has a lovely hint of spice to it and the tofu was perfectly cooked! I highly recommend this place if you want authentic Indian & Surinamese food! Service was also quick, and the restuarnt itself is super cozy. We will definitely be back! Thank you chef and staff.

7.5/10A small and nice restaurant in the center of Haarlem. The food is OK nothing special the problem is with the price. 100 Euro for 4 very simple Indian dishes is much much to expensive !

we are sorry for the bad experience, when ordering we told you that 4 main corses are to much for 2 people (1 dish for person) you wanted to try some different things, €100 for 4 main corses + drinks. which you were aware of in advance since you ordered it yourself.

9/10The food was delicious (biryani was top!) and service very friendly. Limited wine options, and the place is small and can get noisy, but the food is all worth it.

8.5/10Excellent food and service. A small restaurant with no posh ambiance however main and side dishes are more than OK. Staff is kind and professional. Prices are reasonable / cheap. Recommended.

5/10The food was very disappointing, the taste was nothing like the good Indian restaurant I was expecting after reading their other reviews. Also the restaurant itself was cold and therefore not cosy at all. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

9.5/10The friendliness of staff is as pleasant as the quality of the food.. For sure we will come back a third time. Do not expect a typcial Surinam or typical Indian restaurant but a splendid mix of both, where you make you own choice what eventual will be on your plate! Many dishes to choose from, where you get handy advice on how spicy you may expect it to be!

4/10The service in this restaurant is attentive and quick, although perhaps the food arrives a little suspiciously fast. We had 4 beers, a starter, and two main meals - and we were out of the door in less than 45 minutes. Unfortunately, many of the items on the menu from which we intended to order were unavailable, also naan bread is simply not an option here. The Indian beers were not available, which meant Heineken was the only option. We ordered two vegetarian samosas (the chicken ones were unavailable) and they were very tasty indeed! We chose to have a mild (chicken Makhni) and a hot dish (lamb Vindaloo) to share. This may seem like an exercise in sadism, but we like curries to be Indian hot, not Netherlands hot! We enjoy curries which leave us with tears streaming down our faces, but this was not the case here. The Vindaloo was not in the slightest bit spicy despite being marked in the menu as very hot. I am afraid I don't think I can see it surviving with far better curry available in Haarlem.
