8.5/10The restaurant is quite nice with a lot of tables both inside and outside. Service is very quick and kind. The food also is quite good. The only "drawback" is that prices are a bit high (but it needs to say that location is very central).

3/10The worst mussels I had in my life, I have tummy ache while I am writing this. Half of them didn’t open and many where broken.. for over 33€ a dish, the service was not good either… shame, I thought that we were going to have a nice experience.

4/10Overpriced tourist trap! This was our second time dining at Ommegang, and while its proximity to our hotel and Grand Place could not be better, the exorbitant prices really left a bad taste in our mouths. The restaurant also refuses to serve tap water, so be prepared to pay a huge markup for a bottle of water. The food is fine, and the service is no frills, but fast. The carbonnade was good, but the vol au vent was a joke. A tiny little piece of puff pastry with a few pieces of chicken. I’ve had it in many other restaurants in Belgium, and have never seen it served this way. Drink prices are also absurd. We won’t be back next year, we’d rather spend our money on the many better options in Brussels.

Arrived, had our reservation but no table. Seated us at a table for 4 when we were 5. No kids menu and no option for half portions for kids. Forced to have an adult meal and waste half of it. Food we had was nice, but it’s expensive especially the drinks

5.5/10The food was good! Once we ordered dessert, time went by, as half an hour went by until we decided to ask for it. It turned out that the waiter never placed the order. They offered us a rushed order of crepes to make it up, but still, there was little consideration for the client.

10/10We ate dinner at Ommegang on a mild end-of-summer evening. It was a lovely setting for people watching. Our food was excellent - the mussels were tender and the linguini was just right. I really enjoyed watching the wait staff working as a team, providing frequent check-ins and service, and the senior staff person (Manager? Owner?) tending to details that make a difference in the dining experience. For example, he adjusted a wobbly table before anyone was seated there, rather than forcing the guests to call on a waiter when they discovered the problem. I think that this sort of attention to detail is reflected in the way the food is prepared, as well. Just a very nice experience all around.

Great service and loved the atmosphere! The mussels were fantastic but the fries were just okay. My fiancé ordered the beef stew and mostly had pieces of fat that were not edible, but the flavor was great, just wishing he received better pieces of meat within the stew. Very good selection of Belgian beer. Overall, would rate 8/10 and would recommend if in the area!

5.5/10Restaurant in a cute area of town just around corner from grand palace. However, food was overpriced considering quality. For example, My 30 euro mussels and frites similar to 22 euro option just around corner and with better frites that was hot and fresh as opposed to sitting under a lamp and dry. Wife’s shrimp order was just 7 pieces of shrimp in oil and garlic. Wife ordered a quarter bottle of wine and got a glass. Notified server who never got the remainder, although she did correct tab at end. My 30 euro beer tour should have been 20 at most for 9 small pours. Beggar/homeless/scammer walking up to outdoor seating table and trying to hustle us during our meal. To be fair, they did run the beggar off once staff saw her. Would definitely try other options in area.

9.5/10Very delicious food in a great location. Mussels and the Flemish Stew were the best we've had in Belgium (many visits and lived there). The house beer is also very good. Crepe was average but the Tarte de Tartin was splendid. the place is a bit on the expensive side, but considering the location and food quality it is ok.

10/10I will never come to Brussels and not visit Ommegant!! The service was amazing, great ambiance and WONDERFUL food!!!! My team and I went after reading great reviews. We had reservations and were seated immediately outside, as we wanted. Our server, Van Der Voerde, came quickly with menus and then drinks. The biggest problem is the menu is VERY interesting and varied!! I asked for a recommendation for a traditional meal and, without a pause, he recommended the mussels with leaks, garlic and cream. OH MY HECK, it was sooo good, it’s worth the 8 hour flight all by itself! I shelled all the mussels and then ate as soup. DELICIOUS! If you’re tired of being disappointed with the food when you travel, you need to try Brasserie Ommegang . Your taste buds will thank you!!
