10/10Of the 4 restaurants we visited this time, Oni was by far the best (and that was against stiff competition!). The food is fantastic - the hard part is choosing which dishes to have. Amazing meat, fish and vegetables, lovely complex flavours. Try the special hand-dived scallop and the beef (oh so tender). Service lovely and friendly. The only tiny, tiny negative is the solid wood seating, which can start to leave a numb bum after almost 2 hours. Definitely worth a visit - and do make a reservation as it's very popular. Will come again.

8.5/10The food was really good but it wasn’t coursed out well. You need to explicitly tell them that you want edamame and the lighter dishes first. We received our warm food and maki roll first, and had to follow up on our tataki which was forgotten and cancelled our edamame. They did comp us a drink in apology and the servers were very friendly. Just perhaps chaotic comms with the kitchen. Will return though, the food is fab and the people nice. I would expect automatic appropriate coursing in a place like this.

6.5/10Food: the raws were amazing, but they use way too much sauce on the warm dishes. Location: We sat upstairs and it was so badly lit, literally every table had to use their mobile flash light to read the menu. Staff: Kitchen is very quick, but service & bar on a Friday evening was run by 3 people and that is just not enough. We had to wait so very long for the drinks and dishes.

7.5/10Oni is a nice restaurant, the food is absolutely great but even in the five course menu portion sizes are a bit small so in total maybe just enough for people with modest appetite. The atmosphere is nice, a bit dark and cushions on the plain wooden furniture or even better chairs would make the seating much more comfortable. Loved the food so hope some adjustments in portions and seating will be made and we would become frequent visitors.

8/10All 6 of us enjoyed everything about our evening, only one thing let’s this restaurant down, they refused to serve us tap water. Not only did we all order 4 course special menu, we also ordered 4 bottles of wine. It was absolutely sweltering inside with no airco and making us pay for tap water was a very bad choice. Due to this we will not be returning to this restaurant again.

2/10The service is extremely slow. After almost 2 hours our maki sushi was not ready and the waitress told us that it would take still 15 min more. We just gave up. The only thing we could get it was a duck breast that we paid around 23 euros and the dish was very small considering the price. Plus, we seat upstairs, and it was so dark that we could not read the menu. I do not recommend it at all.

8/10Good food, quick and friendly service, bit pricey though but portions are satisfactory. Ramen was good but standard. Bento box was good. It was more nightcluby than cozy but in a new exciting kind of way. Tea is way over priced.

10/10We keep coming back - since September 2013 - whenever in the Hague. Each time it is a delight. The sushi and sashimi are of exquisite quality and the service is welcoming and friendly. Thank you!

10/10Delicious food and amazing, caring staff. I felt very unwell during dinner and decided to take a cab home. They kindly wrapped up our main course and desert for us to enjoy at home. Looking forward to returning soon

6.5/10Coming from Asia and frequenting Japan, I know it when sashimi is fresh. I expected the dishes, particularly the sashimis, to be more well made and fresh, considering the price point and the ambience. I would just say that the vibe is nice, but there is better sashimi out there that wouldn't cost that much. The cocktails were prepared well though! The service was also a bit disappointing. Reserved for a certain time and they stil had to clear the table for about 15 mins after the reserved time. Save for the interiors and the bar, a lot of the food quality needs to catch up. Not sure if I would like to give it a second chance.

9/10Fantastic food and the old time special Ebi Hot Spicy scallops is still the best! Only point of improvement, thinking of COVID I believe it is best to serve a small portion of wasabi and ginger in a small cup to each individual instead of one portion where everyone at the table puts their (used) chopsticks in..

4/10The best dish in this restaurant is sashimi. The food is average. The service is bad, chaotic, dishes were forgotten, waiting time is long. We didn’t like one of the dishes and we said to the waiter, she did not ask anything like “what was wrong with the dish?” or something, she said ok, then removed the dish and left and charged us for it in the end. So to try sashimi then it is OK, one time visit

10/10Amazing experience trying their 4 course menu chosen by the chef. With every course you get a surprise not knowing before what the food will be. Everything was delicious and it really gives you the chance to try some dishes that maybe you wouldn’t have ordered on your own but definitely enjoyed them now! Truly and whole heartedly recommending this place! Service was impeccable and atmosphere very pleasant.

8.5/10A lovely Japanese restaurant, staff are very helpful and friendly and they could cater for my allergies. The food is very good, I loved the Japanese citrus fruit sorbet. There is a great selection of drinks, the Japanese whisky was excellent !

9.5/10This was our fourth time to have dinner in this restaurant. The food was nice, and they have an excellent service. Of all the food that we ordered, only the miso soup that was not really satisfying because it contained beansprout. Other that that, everything was delicious. Especially the maguro pizza.
