9.5/10The food is always great and very well served, the staff are all nice and attentive. However the serving waiting time is quite long and they do tend to forget parts of the order. Would definitely recommend for the food though!

6.5/10It is clear this restaurant has wonderful potential because the food we tried was very good – we would definitely come back for the food – although (like many restaurants) the repetitive "typical" choice of sobremesas did not excite us enough to try them. The staff were very pleasant to deal with but their service was "patchy" > very slow or forgetful when it came to serving our drinks ... but the main issue was the environment... it will definitely benefit from some changes...(The positives) Overall the area is large enough to allow many tables with enough physical separation and good orientation to make it comfortable for customers to enjoy private conversation – which is a great achievement. The seating was comfortable enough and plants were used as an enhancing device to help separate the spaces. However overall the environment lacks "style" including a huge "Nescafe" sign on the wall, which has to go. The music was too loud at first but even the reduced volume of "90s pop music" (while pleasantly familiar) does not enhance the restaurant's ambience – choice of music could be easily fixed. Unfortunately the area considered "outdoors" was completely covered by a retractable roof, so smoke from smokers stayed in the area, causing one group table to move inside. Yes, this place has great potential – but there's some work to do yet.

6.5/10The welcoming and the table were ok. We had to wait a longer time to be served. We ordered 3 starters. One came after a longer time, the 2rd came with the main course and the 3rd never came. The meat and the chicken we ordered were delicious but my fish was raw and the spinach hard and without taste. The wine was very good. All in all it was good but he mood in the restaurant, the service and friendliness could be improved.

9/10We had a party of 10 Americanos, looking for one last dinner together in Portugal. Onofre had good reviews, and the pricing looked quite reasonable, so we gave it a try. We were not disappointed. The service started a bit slow. Took awhile to get our order taken (even just drinks). But after that, it was smooth sailing. Along with our drinks, we were brought toasted bread with green olives and feta(?). We also several of the the goat cheese with tomato compote appetizers. Very nice! We tried a number of different entrees at the table: Seafood Rice, Tuna Skewer, Veggie Curry, Turbot Platter, Mushroom Risotto. All delicious! The tuna in particular got rave reviews. They were out of a few desserts, and it was a bit late, so we decided to skip that course. The atmosphere was very nice, if a bit dark. There was a talented guitarist/violinist playing along to some nice jazz/Samba music. Our waiter (possibly the owner?) did not speak much English, but we managed just fine. It was actually a nice change of pace from the polished English banter you get from the waiters at some of the more touristy places. Overall, a great experience. Thank you, Onofre! We hope we can visit again in the future!

10/10Onofre was a great experience!! J.P., our server, was exceptional. Super attentive, friendly, and funny. Truly made our meal a memorable and pleasurable experience. If you find yourself in the Sintra or Cascais region we would definitely recommend stopping by this restaurant for some authentic local food and wine.
