Theis restaurant provides inventive tasteful food. The atmosphere is urban and friendly. The staff is super knowledgeable. One of our favourite restaurants in Alicante.

6/10The people are lovely, and the food really is pretty good. although too heavy on the meat and not enough vegetables, but their theory is that everything should be split in half, so that if you are sensitive to one thing you have to eat it. if your partner wants to eat it. it is their theory and it is the way they do things but it is not something I enjoy

We were 4 persons who was placed at a table in the kitchen and we had one of the best dinner experiences ever. There were attention all the time and we got ongoing explanations of food and wine. Fantastic experience which will be told among our circle of friends and family, Will definitely be repeated

9.5/10Very creative use of typical Spanish ingredients. Cleverly, they had an English menu with a QR code and were very helpful when our Spanish failed us. It is probably best to plan to share meals, but we did not and very much enjoyed our food. Highly recommend the atún catalana and the whisky cheesecake (much milder than cheesecake in the US) was delicious. If you are going on a Saturday night, parking may be dicey so plan accordingly.

10/10OPEN restaurante is first class dining at its best. The menu is Mediterranean cuisine with the right balance of flavors & textures offering a wide variety of shared fish & meat plates. The food is creative. We dined last night with some friends and they surprised us by offering us the Chef's Table in the kitchen where we enjoyed watching the Chefs creating each dish. The wine list offers local & regional labels. This has truly become one of my absolute favorite restaurants in Alicante!

The food in this place is truly incredible, though definitely Spanish in its origins, each dish is far from the usual fare. I miss a bit some more variety in non-alcoholic drinks, Coke just doesn’t go with it, how about some home-made lemonade or something? The service can get so much it gets confusing, but overall professional. Just the place is too cool, we were freezing…

9.5/10The food and ambience is always top notch. This was my second visit in a year and to be honest I was expecting a change of the menue since the first time I visited the restaurant was in springtime. I hope for a new fresh menue next time because I will be back, that’s for sure!

10/10If you like sophisticated dishes with no chichi, great service, all at a very affordable price, don’t miss it. Open is a gem. I’ve rarely eaten such good Bouchot mussels, and the cod balls were outstanding. This place deserves to be know as one of (if not the) best restaurant in Alicante.

10/10A complete experience - service, food and ambience was just perfect. Informal wipe, and a very high level of food. My wife and I shared 3 starters and 2 mains - All the tastes was perfectly balanced. Only negative was that we didn’t have room for dessert.

8.5/10We had a very interesting and pleasant experience at the Open, it had very interesting interior, ambience and great service. The food was very exquisite and with great flavors. Wine menu had also very good wine selection. Its one of the unique restaurants in the town.

10/10Not your typical Alicante tapas restaurant. Greetings at the door , wonderful relaxed interiors and a full review of the menu by staff at our table of 4 was a pleasure. A smaller menu offers a modern twist on tapas which was refreshing. We shared 3 tapas and each ordered a larger plate with a bottle of wine, perfect. The creative food, personal service and wine offerings will bring us back to enjoy once again.

6/10We had a reservation for 3 people and got a table in front of the toilet, we asked for a another table(there was free ones) and the staff refused to change it, overall with that and the way staff handled it was disappointing and unprofessional. Also when we asked something about the drinks we didn’t get any answer. Note that there was only one table plus us so the staff could have served us better, meaning the head of the staff who was clearly avoiding our table, two other staff member were clearly new so can’t really blame them. We felt so unwelcome that we left and went to another restaurant, sad because we have all the other times been very satisfied, now don’t think we will ever return there.

10/10What an amazing dining experience. As soon as we walked in Jordi made us extremely welcome & at ease. The tapas menu was obviously in Spanish but we were confident going with his recommendations from the start with an organic vermouth - delicious! We enjoyed 4 very tasty dishes & a bottle of white ...well worth €110 all in. If you’re a foody then this place is for you.

7.5/10Best is to let hte owner decide the dishes, you will be peasantly surprised. Great food. Service was not very good. Inexperienced waitress, who made small mistakes (food to share was put in front of each guest, did not speak English, served G&T as if she was at home, etc.)
