Wonderful seafood dinner for 2 at a very nice restaurant that is a short distance from the touristy beaten track. Food was prepared very well, good wine list, and the ambience was just right. If you are in Modica, eat here.

Ornato came highly recommended and REALLY let us down. Service was okay, but not attentive enough to notice that two hungry people couldn't bring themselves to finish any of the six-course chef's tasting menu. 4 out of 6 courses were room temp, not cold or hot. The surface of the soup was resting centimeters below the dry line on the bowl as if it had been left out under a heating lamp all night. I was actively mad at how bad it was.

Nice fish restaurant, bit difficult to find, as the location is different then shown on Google maps (you have to go up the stairs). The food was really good and very friendly staff. Recommended!!

A very enjoyable dinner. Unfortunately few people were at the restaurant due to the horrible weather …..but overall a good place for dinner. We ordered the 5 course menu. Very fulfilling as portion size was generous. The quality of ingredients was remarkable for this price point. Service was both very professional and friendly. Definitely a must dine place for sea food lovers ….rating would have been higher in better weather circumstances.

huddled in the narrow alleys of modica bassa, this great restaurant has an excellent fish based menu which was masterfully executed by the chef. would definitely recommend and shall return.

Wonderful meal! We had the raw and cooked seafood platter, a wonderful truffle shrimp risotto. The service was great and the chef came out to ask how we liked a new desert he just put on the menu inspired by a childhood memory. Great evening, highly recommended!

As we are big lovers of seafood, this was an excellent choice! Our cod starter was great but our mains were absolutely superb. My husband had the catch of the day- delicious scorpion fish and I had the fish stew, with the widest range of fish and shellfish I’ve ever seen altogether, each contributing to a very flavoursome concoction! Maura, who served us, was gentle and very efficient. Highly recommend!

Wonderful dinner with a great service, explanation of dishes and recommendation for the wine selection. Thank you to the Cook and waitresses, everything was perfect. I had for starter misto pesce crudo that was delicious, then linguine con alici, and for dessert mousse di ricotta con datterini e gelato di pesto which was wonderful for my senses. Highly Recommended.

Beautifully prepared and presented, with minimum fuss. Minor problem corrected with utmost speed and attention. Excellent in all matters - great value for money. Strongly recommended.
