9.5/10Great food and fantastic service. The menu is very limited, but if you find a few items you like - you ready for a great evening. Very reasonable prices on food and wine. We enjoyed the Spaghetti Carbonara, Al dente pasta with excellent sauce. Lamb chops were cooked well, slightly too much, but good. The Sea Bass (Fish of the day) was just ok, not much flavor, but vegetables good. Great local Sauv Blanc wine. The service is fantastic - very attentive and pleasant. We sat outside and watched the people go by. Give it a try!

8/10The waiter was attentive and advised us about the specials and answered our questions about the menu. It is a modern menu with twists on Italian classics (I had the ravioli which was made from black squid ink and stuffed with fish). The waiter helpfully replaced a glass of wine which had got a fly in without even asking which was a lovely gesture. A quiet place off the main streets of Venice and near the university. A great find and would recommend going there

9/10We look online for the best places for dinner in Venice and Osteria Aea Canevassa had good reviews. We book a table for 2 and went there. we were really surprised at how good it all was. we got 2 dishes each and good wine for a really good price. The most polite staff ever. They have an incredibly high level of service. a level not seen as much elsewhere in Venice. Thank you very much for the wonderful experience.

10/10The meal was a delight. We shared the fish platter starter, which was huge and utterly delicious: creamed salt cod in various forms, white crayfish, prawns, langustine, and more. We then both had the ravioli: squid ink pasta filled with fish and a pumpkin sauce - divine. To finish We both had lively desserts: tiramisu and a pistachio souflee. As if this wasn't perfect enough, our waiter arrived with a complementary meloncello to finish! This was all accompanied by local wine and a great atmosphere. I would recommend.

9.5/10Very friendly, welcoming staff. Very comfortable table outside with a welcome heat lamp overhead. A very nice selection on the menu, mostly fish, which is consistent with Venetian cuisine.

10/10Absolutely wonderful! Our diner got a bit delayed due to previous customers staying for hours after the end of their diner, but the staff was very accomodating and treated us to a glass of wine! The atmosphere is very simple yet welcoming, exactly what we were looking for. Cosy and lively. Now the food... It was to DIE FOR. I still dream of these gorgonzola gnocchis that made me travel, and the pistachio lava cake was certainly made by angels. The staff was incredibly nice to us, we felt very welcomed and treated like guests, not just another group of stupid tourists. We're really grateful for that. So, we loved eating there. We loved experiencing the atmosphere there. We loved exchanging there. You understood. We loved this Osteria so much for this diner that took us out of the time and space. It is a place we will keep dearly close to our hearts.

10/10Lovely situation, off the main tourist routes. We sat outside on the little Calle. Waiter could not have been more helpful or solicitous. Excellent seafood, all very nicely done, with v tasty sauces. Unpretentious menu and wine list. Would defo return.

9.5/10Great black squid pasta, spinach almonds burrata tagaliolinni also superb. Creamed cod on baby artichoke was strong in flavour a bit much for some but i loved it. A thick fresh pasta lasagna was delightfull. Fautless attentive yet subtle service.

9/10The food was great but we had to sit outside because the restaurant is small, they had a special heating system for outside eating, I was still very cold though. That distracted me a bit from the food. Nonetheless, i ate the best truffle pasta there !

10/10Small restaurant near the university, 10 min walk from Accademia stop. Food was well prepared, mostly standard items with a creative spin, tasty and well prepared. Good service, although they were not very busy the night we went there.. Nice alternative to a big, crowded, expensive tourist restaurant. A good find!

10/10One of the best restaurants that we have tried, by far. The ambience, especially outside dining, was just perfect. The service and attentiveness of the staff, along with their food and wine recommendations, was right on spot. The dishes were well presented, were good-sized portions and just delicious! The tiramisu, and limoncello, capped the meal nicely. The dinner ended even better when the bill came. I and my wife were pleasantly surprised (and elated) to pay a lot less than what we were expecting. This restaurant is highly recommended! And, yes, when we come back to Venice, we will not hesitate to dine at this restaurant again.

10/10This place was great! The food was delicious and the staff were so kind. We had reservations at 7:30pm on a rainy night and asked for a table inside but indoor was full so they told us we could wait a few mins until a table opened up. During that time, they offered us complimentary drinks and sat us at a covered table outside. We decided to just stay at the table outside because the ambiance was very nice and the staff were so kind to recommend dishes for us. Would definitely visit again, thank you!
