We are staying in Verona outside of the old city, and I was looking for a restaurant we could walk to and that catered to the local market. As this restaurant consistently had good reviews, I made a reservation. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and agree with the great reviews. My husband had grilled steak as he wanted a change from pasta and polenta. Oh my, it was prepared beautifully, and so tender! I had Iberian suckling pig and this too was delicious. Both of us ordered a side plate of vegies as well. My husband had cheesecake for dessert, and I had amaretto parfait. A fine ending to our wonderful meals. This is a family run business, and the service was outstanding. We thought the prices were reasonable. Highly recommended!!!!

+1We came to try out a few specific dishes to Verona as tourists, and were amazed! The service of course was out good, they were all really nice and helpful. The food though, was exquisite. Compliments to the cook and the establishment!! And thank you for letting us have a taste of Verona. :)

Good food (delicious soup, pasta’s and really nice desserts). Friendly service and atmosphere… only a small terrace outside.

This is a restaurant where mainly locals eat so it’s not about decor and ambience. It’sabout a 25 minute walk from Piazza Erbe, and a little underwhelming when you enter. It was quite hot inside due to it being in the 30’s outside. Also, there was little if any air conditioning. That aside, the food and service were exceptional. The menu was full of local delicacies you would not find in any of the tourist areas, so it was a great choice. The owner served us and explained the menu fully. As a result we had a lovely meal. Certainly a “must try”.
