10/10This was our first night in Florence and arrived for our dinner a little earlier than our reservation. It was no problem for our host. He made us feel welcome and we found a table outside. We had a good conversation with our host (sorry, I wish we had his name!) and he made helpful recommendations for dinner and wine! We really enjoyed our dinner experience there and luckily managed to get a lunch there on our last day! I will absolutely recommend Osteria Antica Casa Torre to all our friends and family visiting Florence - and I know we will be back there again!

10/10The staff! Nous and Doina are the BEST! We ate there twice in 3 days, and they were a big part of that. The food is amazing, and the chef spoke to us personally to accept our thanks. What a wonderful restaurant this is!

10/10The food was amazing, not quite rustic, but definitely traditional. I recommend reservations, the meatballs, the baccala, the prawns and the simple grilled fillet. The staff was attentive, and we were not rushed. The setting is delightful.

8/10It began as a wonderful experience and took a bad turn when we got back to our hotel. Service was impeccable! Food timing was perfect... not to slow, not too fast. Tuscan bean soup was the best I've ever had. My husband started with the spicy pici. Exactly the way he likes it, hot! Pappardelle with boar ragu was delicious as were grandmother's meatballs. Everything was perfect. I paid with a credit card, got a receipt and we left. When we got back to our hotel, a waiter from the restaurant called and accused me of not paying the bill, insisting that I come back. What? Told him I have a receipt and a text from my bank confirming I was charged. He said "no, no, you didn't pay". He asked me to text him a picture of the receipt. I did and 20 minutes later I get a response apologizing. It was the table next to us that didn't pay. I understand mistakes happen but the staff should have figured out who didn't pay before calling and accusing me. It ruined what was a phenomenal experience.

The waiter was exceptionally attentive and friendly. He gave great recommendations and perfectly timed the service between courses. My wife isn’t a big fan of red meat, so they kindly seared her steak a bit more – a thoughtful touch that made all the difference. We’ll definitely be back the next time we visit Florence. Delicious food. My husband and daughter had the paparadelle with the pork ragù. It was fantastic, and my son had the ravioli with pesto which was absolutely delicious.

10/10The service was casual but very attentive. The food was very good, our best meal to date while in Italy. The accordion player trying to take advantage of tourists was a little annoying but he went away rather quickly. Far enough away from the square to enjoy a peaceful meal. Close enough to make it back for the touristy stuff.

9.5/10Well worth visiting. Delicious hearty food worth every penny. I shared the vegetable minestrone soup with our toddler because we’d just had a large pizza an hour before our reservation. The soup was stunning. I can’t quite believe the flavour that came from a dish that was so simple. My toddler approved as well. My partner had the Pici all’aglioni… apologies if I butchered that. He loved it. So much so we will be going back before we leave to try more dishes! This time on an empty stomach. Service was lovely just a tad slow BUT that was because they had a full house. Neither of us can fault that. We do recommend booking as many people walked in during our meal with a reservation and it seemed so popular. We can see why. Being nosey we looked at all the incredible dishes that neighbouring tables ordered. We can’t wait to try more. It was worth mentioning that we arrived 20 minutes early for our reservation and they happily and immediately sat us. Incredible all round.

5.5/10Carbonara was over-cheesy with large bits of fried bacon on top. Like an English breakfast on top of cheesy noodles. Really unexpectedly poor we had to send it back. The rest of the food was ok but the entire place felt very much like a tourists trap. Friendly staff and nice location the redeeming features. Shame.
