For a restaurant that specializes in truffle, I've never had bland truffle flavored food until now. Service was mediocre at best, but always rushed. Would not recommend eating here.

Waiter was not very friendly, took our food from us before we were done. Food was fine but not great, truffles were pretty mild. No ambience or atmosphere in the restaurant (no music) so was a bit strange.

The Truffle pasta is spectacularly outstanding! Truffle steak is so-so and Truffle risotto is a bit raw-rice kind of texture that we personally not prefer, but if you like raw-rice texture, feel free to give it a go! I went on my birthday and the truffle pasta made my birthday so special and unforgettable!

Its clear they try to separate foreigners from Italians at this restaurant. I didn't get this treatment at any other restaurant in Rome so this was disappointing.

The food was delicious. We arrived on time for our reservation and we were promptly seated. Our server was rather cranky and felt like he preferred to be someplace else. The temperature was very warm to the point of sweating. This did impact our enjoyment of our meal and prevented us from ordering dessert. I would recommend for the food.

Delicious food, focused on pasta, tartuffe, meat, and seafood in Roman style. Varied dishes and styles of preparation. Choice selection of regional wines. Pleasant, cozy, neighborhood atmosphere. Efficient service. Almost everyone was a tourist staying at a nearby Airbnb or hotel. Overall, a fine, satisfying meal.

The food was below average, the aubergine was undercooked with no taste. The main courses was both tasteless. The guests were very young and had their phones in left hand while eating with their right hands. We haven’t been to a restaurant where nobody was talking to each other- so strange and no good vibes.

It used to be a lively restaurant, but now the priority is to increase the turnover rate, so the food comes out quickly and the next customer is served in about an hour. The service of shaving the truffle in front of you is gone, and the appetizers and main dishes are not very tasty. Still, it is expensive for an osteria.

What a surprise! We spent 17 days in Europe including London, Paris, Florence, and Rome. Osteria Barberini was - by far - the best meal we had. We were a large party so we had a basement table, but soon forgot the lack of ambience when tasted the food. BRAVO!

Food was good and certainly revolved around truffle flavors. If you want truffle flavors certainly the spot for that. The restaurant staff was professional, dare I say snooty. Restaurant was quiet, almost too quiet to where no tables were talking. Wine was easily the best value on the menu.
