Good food and service overall,

After several bland and disappointing meals in Roman osterias, we were delighted to return to Circe after dining there in 2019. Our meal was way more creative, tasty and satisfying than other restaurants in Rome. And reasonably priced too!

Amazing food in an amazing place. It's a fair trek from the city centre but totally worth it. The food was amazing and nothing was too much trouble for the wonderful staff. We tried to speak some Italian (and failed miserably) but they were amazing hosts, conversing in perfect English. House wine is great value

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. When booking, I didn’t have high expectations, but in the end – simple, flavorful food, friendly service, and a beautiful interior. I recommend sitting inside.

The meatballs and beefburger were excellent. The house wine was very reasonable and the tirimisu was lovely. Would definitely recommend.

We had an early reservation so one of the first parties to arrive. We were sat in a side room even though the front room and cool little cave area was open. One person was going to sit us in the front room but owner or or manager said no. We were basically forgotten about. We got our food and wine and not checked on again until we were done. They forgot my husband had ordered a steak for his second course so we had to ask for it. Never offered more wine or drinks or dessert. Could see other parties outside get serviced after us and left before us. The place was recommended by friends but sadly we did not have a good experience. It’s unfortunate especially when there are so many wonderful places in Rome and that night was a big disappointment.

Cute inside ambiance. Noisy road outside. Expected better food. Ribeye steak was very fatty and very thin. Pasta was sauced too heavily, and the kind we had did not have homemade noodles. A bit disappointing when most local restaurants all have fresh noodles.

wonderful night on the Roman Forum!

We arrived early during the hottest week on record in Italy. Without inviting us in or offering water, the owner directed us to come back in 15 minutes. We didn't, and neither should you. Go to Guenda two doors up, you'll like it better.

Our server was very rude. They didn’t realize I spoke Italian and she complained about us to another server. She cut us off when asking questions and we couldn’t wait to leave the restaurant. Very disappointed with service and food especially since family members recommended this restaurant and we took Uber and spent a lot of money to get there.

the food was decent however before we could even finish our starter, the waiter took the plates off our table, to leave us with our next course. very unexpected, and could have asked us if we had finished first, as there was still food on a plate

Just liked it. Lovely interior. Welcoming and not bothering but attentive stuff. Deliciously cooked authentic Italian and especially Roman dishes. Best Tiramisu we ever tried in our life! Will come back again on another visit to Rome.

The carcioffo ala giuda was a delight in its crunch with a very soft middle. The pasta was al dente to perfection with the carbonara sauce as rich and flavorful. The tiramisu would do my nonna proud. Washed down with a Prosecco just can’t beat a meal at Osteria Circo. The staff made the meal all that more enjoyable with their friendly and attendant demeanor. All that and your wallet will not cry either!

The service was good but I was sat next to the door and this was quite cold The fettuccine was very good and the Prosecco was good too

This was the perfect spot after a morning tour of the Forum, Palentine, and Colosseum. Loads of ambiance! Food was delicious. Artichoke a must, wonderful pasta and meat dishes. Service was attentive but gave ample time to relax. Highly recommend!!

They did NOT have our reservation from fork. Owner said something to do with Google? But they accommodated us. Food was great This place was jammed packed not a table open when we left

Last-minute booking at Osteria Circo via The Fork app. An amazing place in all respects. It was packed and yet service was fast, professional, and courteous. The osteria is built into ancient ruins so ambience is impressive even by Rome standards. Excellent food and wine. A place to go back to over and over again.

The family that runs the restaurant is wonderful! The Cacio e Pepe is the best I have had! So flavorful!

The place was really authentic, food traditional and rustic, for in Rome was great. Service a little slow but maybe due to large party of Americans that were in.

Service was non-existent. We waited for 10min, seated at a table, without anyone taking any drinks orders, and not even giving us menus. And no one making eye contact as they walked past us, to even call someone for service.

Lovely restaurant just a short walk from our hotel. I booked before we left the uk as the reviews were all good and we weren’t disappointed the food was delicious and service was very good, it became very busy after 8:30pm so best to book in advance, lots of locals eating there which is a good sign!

Friendly and attentive service! Were out of a few dishes (like foccacia). Nice spot for food and next door gelato for after tour of colosseum.

Osteria Circo is located right across the Circo Massimo. It's interior is beautifully rustic. The menu options are great, and the food quality to price ratio is very good. Overall, we had a wonderful experience.

The restaurant was very inviting, and the staff was very friendly. Everything was delicious and enjoyable. We will be back on our next trip to Rome. A must try restaurant for all who visit Rome.
