8.5/10We were staying just around the corner from this lovely cozy little restaurant, just 10 tables. It was recommended by our hotel and others on TripAdvisor. We were not disappointed. Had nice, though very quiet, service from the single server. Husband had a delicious app of fried salted cod. I had seafood soup that was more seafood in shell with small amount of tomato based broth. Good, but labor intensive to get all those tiny sea creatures out of their shells. Then we shared seafood pasta - more of the same (what was I thinking.). Pasta and seafood were good though. Delicious Panacotta for dessert.

10/10We came here after a recommendation from a friend, who said she would go back to Naples just to have another meal here. It didn’t disappoint! The service started a little slow and we were unsure of how it was going to go, but once we gave into patience and relaxed into it we had a lovely evening. It was the best pasta I’ve ever had. And the best calamari we’ve ever had. And pretty much the best beef we’ve ever had. A lovely little place, with a kind and gentle man at the heart of it. I hope it stays the same forever.

8/10This is a small restaurant with 8 tables.The menu is simple and the food is all well cooked.The wine list is good and reasonably priced. There is just one waiter who may be the patron who is knowledge and very helpful. Nothing is rushed and the experience is relaxed. Our overall bill for two for shared starter platter,2 main courses with side dishes and 2 desserts plus wine came to a very reasonable £100 with tip.

9.5/10A great find for those that are tired of eating Pizza in Napoli! Our caprese was very good, with good mozzarella and a fantastic olive oil (trust me, this comes from a Greek: it was seriously good!), the meats excellent, the salad rich and fresh, and the service efficient and friendly. Well done and thank you!

10/108 tables so be sure to make a reservation! We enjoyed it so much, we went a 2nd time. Wonderful, attentive service that paired with the excellent food. The atmosphere draws a well-dressed, refined base of regulars.

10/10This was our last meal on our 10 day holiday in Naples and surrounding area it was honestly the best meal we had the whole time. It isn’t fancy food just amazing cooking. You really need to book in advance as there are only a few tables and it does yet fully booked up early. It is more of a traditional restaurant and the type you really hope to stubble across in Italy. I absolutely cannot fault it ……

10/10Amazing gem of a restaurant in Naples! I have travelled all over Italy and eaten some amazing meals. This is one of the best. Great recommendation from Rick Steves. Make reservations if you can. It’s always very popular.

10/10Excellent restaurant! We booked a reservation first night Naples and made a reservation for the second night while there. Small place so recommend reservation. Food was really good. Server was very nice. Price to value is good. Overall great food and experience.

9/10Always great food even if small portions. The prices are very good and in sync with portion size. The person working there is very kind and attentive though you have to wait as he is by himself. Even with reservation you have to wait quite awhile at times

10/10I rarely write reviews for restaurants or anything to be honest but this intimate little restaurant (with only 8 tables) was an absolute gem of a find. Stumbled across it by accident following a google search and thankfully booked a table. The food was delicious and extremely reasonably priced. I do not have a single complaint or negative comment to give. The host/server Rosario (not sure of the spelling sorry) was so welcoming and sweet, with his constantly smiling. It was an amazing experience and out of my entire week stay in Naples, it was the best food experience I had. Would definitely recommend to couples for a romantic dinner or date night

9.5/10Booked in advance and glad we did so as several people were turned away as the evening progressed. Friendly welcome. Low key ambience but menu covered all the bases and we both enjoyed the dishes we chose. Extensive wine list offering a wide price range. Will certainly return when we next visit Naples

9.5/10If you look for a fine restaurant on the way to The Archeological Museum with an excellent service, The Osteria Da Carmela is the place. The menu is a highly representative of Italian food.

10/10Really worth the visit if you’re in Naples and are looking for something other than pizza! We had the sea bream and grilled cod. Very delicious. The place is small which creates an intimate atmosphere and the service is friendly and efficient. Highly recommend
