Very good kitchen, wine and atmosphere. We came twice during our visit and would come more if we stayed more in Florence 🙂

The listed price for the Chianini Florentine Steak was posted at $78 for 1.2kg for two people. The bill came in at $93.50. When asked why, they said the cost is based on $78/kg. I felt this was deceptive. I pay attention to detail and did not see this in the menu. Sneaky. Also, the steak was not good. Can get far better quality for a basic ribeye in Canada for $25. Very disappointed.
Osteria da CaterinaWe are sorry to receive a negative review due to your lack of knowledge in mathematics: 1.0 kg costs 78 euros, if the minimum weight is 1.2 the price is 93.6! we have 4 menus displayed outside with prices! then the weight was 1,280 kg (the steak was even slightly larger than what he paid). remember that you also had a 20% discount, so you paid 1,280 kg at (74.88)!

We were very pleasantly served. The starters and main courses were very good, especially the pasta carbonara. A very nice place to have dinner.

Very nice quite place The food is great, recommend mainly the starter with specific cold platter traditional, very good , like also bruschetta. Very large choice for other food, nice service and good wine Very good place for a nice evening

Our first dinner in Florence and the hostess and server were both friendly and accommodating. The food was plentiful and of excellent quality. Loved the meat and cheese tray and steak! Do yourself a favor and go to this little gem.

Unfortunately there was building constructions ongoing opposite and next to the Osteria. the meat quality of the Bistecca Fiorentina was not as good as in other places. The service was friendly and fast

Wonderful restaurant! Our server, Marco, was excellent. Super attentive with a great attitude. His wine selection was very good. Highly recommend!

So glad we chose this Osteria, it is a beautiful little restaurant & the staff are extremely friendly & attentive. The food was exceptional - the steak was mouthwateringly tender & cooked to perfection & the fusilli with pesto was absolutely delicious. If you choose to dine here you will not be disappointed! Thank you Osteria Catarina for a lovely evening!!!

The restaurant aggressively upsold the food and wine, but delivered overpriced and mediocre food and wine. The wine in particular was 50% more expensive on the bill than the menu - because it was 'an old menu'.

Came highly recommended and did not disappoint. English speaking waiter was very helpful. Had the prosciutto and melon, pizza, pasta with truffle, caprese salad and a local steak- all excellent. Would definitely return

My florenrine steak came out late after everyone else was served. While flavorful, the strip side was tough and the filet was overcooked and about half the thickness.

It will be much easy to read if adding grapes content/mix of the wine in the menu for customer to choose. Steak is cooked more than request. Steak texture will be better if not that "rough".

We wanted to try traditional Tuscany foods and this restaurant is perfect for that. All the foods we tried were wonderful and so tasty. The Staff was knowledgeable, kind and patient with our questions about the menu.

Delicious food and excellent service. Our server was courteous, thoughtful and funny. This made for the most enjoyable meal I had in Florence with my daughter. Thank you for going above and beyond! We will definitely come back to Osteria da Caterina whenever we're back in Florence.

Food and service were good. Pasta was very tasty. Steak had a good flavor and was properly prepared. Nice experience, not sure it's the #9 restaurant in Florence, but it was a solid effort.
