4/10The listed price for the Chianini Florentine Steak was posted at $78 for 1.2kg for two people. The bill came in at $93.50. When asked why, they said the cost is based on $78/kg. I felt this was deceptive. I pay attention to detail and did not see this in the menu. Sneaky. Also, the steak was not good. Can get far better quality for a basic ribeye in Canada for $25. Very disappointed.

We are sorry to receive a negative review due to your lack of knowledge in mathematics: 1.0 kg costs 78 euros, if the minimum weight is 1.2 the price is 93.6! we have 4 menus displayed outside with prices! then the weight was 1,280 kg (the steak was even slightly larger than what he paid). remember that you also had a 20% discount, so you paid 1,280 kg at (74.88)!

10/10Our first dinner in Florence and the hostess and server were both friendly and accommodating. The food was plentiful and of excellent quality. Loved the meat and cheese tray and steak! Do yourself a favor and go to this little gem.

6.5/10Unfortunately there was building constructions ongoing opposite and next to the Osteria. the meat quality of the Bistecca Fiorentina was not as good as in other places. The service was friendly and fast

10/10So glad we chose this Osteria, it is a beautiful little restaurant & the staff are extremely friendly & attentive. The food was exceptional - the steak was mouthwateringly tender & cooked to perfection & the fusilli with pesto was absolutely delicious. If you choose to dine here you will not be disappointed! Thank you Osteria Catarina for a lovely evening!!!

4.5/10The restaurant aggressively upsold the food and wine, but delivered overpriced and mediocre food and wine. The wine in particular was 50% more expensive on the bill than the menu - because it was 'an old menu'.

9.5/10Came highly recommended and did not disappoint. English speaking waiter was very helpful. Had the prosciutto and melon, pizza, pasta with truffle, caprese salad and a local steak- all excellent. Would definitely return

8/10It will be much easy to read if adding grapes content/mix of the wine in the menu for customer to choose. Steak is cooked more than request. Steak texture will be better if not that "rough".

10/10We wanted to try traditional Tuscany foods and this restaurant is perfect for that. All the foods we tried were wonderful and so tasty. The Staff was knowledgeable, kind and patient with our questions about the menu.

10/10Delicious food and excellent service. Our server was courteous, thoughtful and funny. This made for the most enjoyable meal I had in Florence with my daughter. Thank you for going above and beyond! We will definitely come back to Osteria da Caterina whenever we're back in Florence.

10/10A great find! Absolutely CHARMING! Book a reservation for sure. You don’t want to miss the experience from the said charming atmosphere to the delicious (indeed exquisite) to the top notch service . We loved it.
