I always order one pasta, this time it was dried up and with less meat... I definitely won't take it anymore 😖

if you're looking for a real traditional restaurant with authentic regional kitchen - then this is your restaurant. It's located a little out outside the center but very easy to go by food. The focus is absolutely not on the design - but this is absolutely not important - as the food is really and authentically of good and tasty Italian quality - Delicious! The waiters are super friendly and helpful. Make always your reservation because it gets growdy - with Italiens and locals.

Delicious food from the Lombardy region. Kind staff too. Great value, cute spot and would return happily. A little gem in Como.

Fabulous authentic Osteria. Local delicacies done well. We had polenta sticks with Gorgonzola to start. A fabulous Lombardi red wine, with beef and polenta. Cheese tortelloni was delicious. We finished with the panna cotta with Nutella. Great meal. We took a food tour the next day and the tour also brought us to Osteria dal pain to experience the authentic local cuisine. Great service and good price point.

There is nothing to eat. The menu is primitive. I asked the waiter what the dish meant, they served dry and salty small fish with incomprehensible porridge. They could not explain what kind of wine it was or recommend it. I did not like it. I went to finish my meal in another restaurant. I do not recommend it.

Amazing food, this place is a gem and an incredible place. Every dish is authentic and delicious. We loved the rice, the pappardelle and the polenta. Special mention for the Manzetta dish and the ravioli.

Great local bistro. At lunchtime Ask for the “menu Del journo” in Italian on a clipboard rather than the English menu. Everything on the menu we tried was great. Wonderful value.

Reserved 2.30PM. We arrived on time. Apparently, the chef just went out of work. The poor waiter had to suggest another restaurant to us. Why having 2:30PM reservation available to book if we can't eat there?

Our hotel in Como recommended this restaurant, so that we thought it was going to be a very good meal. The service was very inattentive, bread stale, meal subpar. The location and atmosphere were nice though

The ossobuco was extremely disappointing - it came with a translucent watery ‘sauce’ with bits of carrot - not the rich gravy one would expect.

There are a lot of polenta options, we tried just the side out of curiosity - found it strange, never had it before. We found the meat dishes were lovely. An actual cured sausage for a starter was fun! Boar ravioli was super nice, daughter wasn't too keen on the chestnut flavoured pasta (personal taste, she was trying to be adventurous) but enjoyed the mozzarella+sausage+sauce that came with it. Drinks good value and we enjoyed the house red. A different sort of meal.

The translated menu was incorrect and inaccurate over the Italian menu. The food was traditionally made but the ossobuco was tough and very fatty. We were on the street and it was hot and construction was happening as well as mosquitoes. It would have been nice to have sprayed the area for mosquito repellent
