The Chianina steak was flavorful and tender without being mushy. Perfectly cooked and served hot. The beans were outstanding. The selection of salads was disappointing. A bowl of bitter greens with oil and vinegar would have been perfect. Coffee was so good I had two cups. Service was excellent and friendly with the waiter recommending the right size streak for two people. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Florence

Tasty food right next to the Duomo. We had the Beef Stew Chianti-style, Ribollita, and Pappardelle with Wild Boar Ragu. Everything was great!

We were expecting high quality food and service based on the reviews, but the overall experience didn’t meet that. The server didn’t recognize us for awhile. Then we got our food, it wasn’t the greatest. Esp the lasagna which was mushy, the spaghetti had little to no flavor. Then the server forgot our pizza which was also mediocre at best. Overall, not a good experience.

The food was not very tasty. Meat should be better in Florence. Also, it was very strange that they brought stale bread to our table. After all, we are in Italy. Bread and olive oil should be good. Although we made a reservation, they could not see our reservation.

The food was amazing! The staff were also very accommodating and friendly and they gave us blankets when it got chilly outside. The service was great and location is also perfect, right outside the Cathedral. I really enjoyed this meal.

Very touristic (guess what… near the Duomo). I was expecting a MUCH BETTER quality of food: The board of charcuterie, cheese was supermarket quality. The fiorentina was ok…. Nothing I can’t find everywhere else in Italy. The service was fine, they were nice but a bit sloppy sometimes.

We had an excellent signature beef dish with wine suggested by the staff. Highly recommend, especially considering location.

We were able to get right in and seated outside, with the great views, it made for a good night. The service was speedy and our food came out fast and it was delicious, so was the wine!

Booked this restaurant after watching a great review on YouTube, raving about the Florentine steak served here. Was just OK. Location was great however. Similar priced options available at Gilli's or Kazowoskis & IMHO far superior.

Great service from the moment we arrived. Beautifully cooked Florentine steak, potato/vegetable sides and wine. Couldn’t ask for much more.

Excellent place to eat dinner The food and service where terrific You should try the clam pasta and the steak. Do not forget the tiramisu at the end !

The food was very average, not worth it for the price in my opinion. The risotto funghi tasted too much like bouillon cube, the pappa al pomodoro had too much pepper and was almost cold, the pasta in the lasagna was overcooked and the pizza was super average. The best part was the complimentary limoncello shot the host gave us as courtesy for treating me like shit at the entry when he thought I was "just a tourist" asking for directions" :) Good restroom and overall ambiance though.

I visited Osteria del Fiore during my recent trip to Florence and had a mixed experience. While the ambiance was pleasant, the service was disappointing. The waiter, whose name I unfortunately do not recall, seemed cold and distant, and we felt pressured to tip excessively, which made us uncomfortable. Furthermore, the ordering process felt rushed, and our preferences were not attentively noted. Additionally, the pasta bolognese and the Florentine steak were both mediocre, especially considering their prices. Overall, while the restaurant has potential, the underwhelming service and food quality left much to be desired.

The food is delicious, the service is perfect, the price is ok, the place is well located. Perfect!

Lovely food. We had the steak for 3, it was delicious! We sat inside as all the tables outside were taken but the ambience was still good.

We love to eat on the main square in the larger cities we visit. This place did not disappoint. The steak Floritine did not disappoint. The service was quick & polite. Food was hot and delicious. Highly recommend.

We had a great time and great food, the service is outstanding - attentive stuff, best of Italian hospitality, in the main square in front of the Duomo of Firenze. We had T-bone steak and some stuffing, what was served on a heated frying pan, the check for 4 people was 120 euro, what I find more than reasonable. Highly recommended

Even though this Osteria is steps away from the Duomo it is definitely not a tourist trap. There were ten in our party and the wait staff handled our table with perfection. The price was very reasonable. We had appetizers, meals, and drinks. The price was very fair. The food and the service were A+.

We loved this place, right by the Duomo. Our waiter was superb, the food outstanding and the wine recommendation delicious. We happily sat and watched the world go by and the sun go down , a gorgeous evening.

The lamb chops and steak with potatoes were cooked to perfect. The waters were attentive and provided excellent service. The environment was amazing as the dining experience was in front of the Duomo.

When I paid via The Fork APP the waiter wouldn’t let us leave even though we showed the confirmation because he didn’t know how the app worked. Totally unprofessional!!!!

Best steak I had in Florence, close to the duomo. The service was great, the food came out in a timely manner. I’m definitely going back there anytime I’m in Florence

Rather average. Running TV right in my back and when I asked to switch it off, it was ignored. Tables are squashed in and not much space to sit at all. Food was good but service poorly.
