8/10Very busy, lovely restaurant. Great fish dishes and regular pasta fare. Would definitely recommend but you must book in advance, people were being turned away if they hadn’t booked.

9/10Amazing food, the beef cheeks were so tender and soft! The truffle pasta was also perfect. Lovely service and attentive staff. However, we were informed at the end the bill did not include a tip, so we asked the waiter to add a 5% tip to the bill. Our fault for not checking the card machine value , but the waiter added around €30 to our bill, making it around a 20-25% tip!

Incredible food, especially fish of the day, pasta with see food and local Venezia tapas. The service was also top. Have been in many Italian restaurants but Osteria del Lovo exceed my expectations.

8.5/10Fantastic environment and great tasting food! Only minor criticism was that the truffle pasta dish was extremely small, especially when comparing it to the seafood pasta dish. Personally, it didn’t taste a lot like truffle, but was delicious nonetheless. Even though, we were left a couple of times to get the staffs attention for drinks, the staff were very friendly and supported us efficiently with allergies which made us feel really included. Great gluten free and vegetarian options 😊

8/10Nice atmosphere. Only one veggie meal option on the menu was somewhat limiting. We had to ask for olive oil to go with bread rather than it being provided automatically. Prosecco at 35 EUR was decent. Lamb shank was the best main meal out of the four. Panacotta for dessert was lovely.

10/10The atmosphere is welcoming and the staff were amazing. The food was great and the wine was a perfect pairing. I recommend reservations as it is popular. It was a great meal for our last night in Italy.

2/10I made a reservation through The Fork a month in advance. It was triple confirmed by both the fork and the restaurant. My group arrived on time - about 5 minutes early. Upon checking in with the restaurant staff, they informed me that my table wasn’t ready. They me and my group outside in the cold; afterwards, after I checked with them AGAIN, they said it would take at least another 10 minutes to get seated. I decided to abandon the restaurant, found another one across the street. They were ready to take care of us without any reservation, AND the food/service was excellent there. I would NOT recommend Osteria del Lovo to anyone!

10/10Food was award-winning standard and service was efficient, if not the warmest - perhaps a symptom of dealing with so many tourists! Nevertheless, a gorgeous restaurant and would highly recommend it for a high class experience at a reasonable price (for Venice!)

10/10Lovely place and delicious food. We were a family of 4 with two young children and we were treated with respect, all staff were very friendly and we had a lovely table upstairs. Lovely atmosphere that made us thinking that we were on a date night. We had the half lobster and prawn pasta (delicious) and the duck tortellini and both were great. Don’t forget to try the tiramisu and the chocolate soufflé.

5/10If you are looking for tourtist trap definition, this is it. The waiter insisted for us to order the two dish of the day, one was a seafood pasta with lobster and the other a baked fish. At the end the seafood pasta we order had 1/2 of a small lobster but the price was double of the regular seafood pasta in the menu. Not to talk about how much we paid for the fish. On top of this, when we went to pay they told us the service was not included in the bill, totally unacceptable and not the norm in Europe. As a courtesy to the customer, they should disclose this at the beginning, not at the end.

I had a seafood pasta, but the mussels tasted and smelled strange to me. I told the waiter about it, and he came out of the kitchen to say that the chef had checked and confirmed that it was okay. Perhaps the style was different from what I expected. At the end, one of the waiters brought me the bill and surprisingly reminded me about the service charge (tips) as a custom. I wasn't too comfortable with him asking for tips, as a proper restaurant usually doesn’t mention that to customers; it makes the staff seem desperate for money. I am certainly not naive, as I have been traveling around the world. In general , other dishes were fine and good. I was just disappointed about the seafood pasta.
