5.5/10Abysmally rude staff, although the food was excellent (apart from the tiramisu which they need to learn how it’s done in the rest of Italy). If you book through The Fork, get ready for some very aggressive upselling and pressure to order quickly. Overpriced and the staff seem too busy to actually bother with the basics of customer service, otherwise known as “courtesy”. You have been warned.

4/10We arrived for our 7 PM reservation and were seated quickly, which was the only highlight of the evening. After ordering a bottle of wine and our appetizers, we found the burrata and monk fish to be quite good, but the pesto orecchiette was disappointingly average. Just as we were about to order dessert, we were rudely informed that we had to leave by 8 PM for a private event that was never mentioned when we arrived. This lack of communication was frustrating and, had we known, we wouldn’t have bothered staying. At 7:55 PM, instead of allowing us to enjoy our meal, the staff rushed us to settle the bill, despite us not even finishing our wine. When I insisted we would leave only once we were done, it was clear this annoyed them. We ultimately left around 8:10 PM, feeling completely unwelcome. Overall, the food was decent, but the service and atmosphere were subpar. We prefer to enjoy our meals at a leisurely pace, not be pushed out.

We felt a bit mistreated by the waiters. They made faces at what we ordered as if we weren’t ordering enough food. The head waiter tried to force me into a 65euro bottle of wine I had no intention of buying and he got pissed off when I didn’t. The food was just ok. Nothing special. For the price I would have expected much better.. and definitely much better treatment.

The restaurant had a lovely buzzing vibe to it. Clearly popular with locals as well as visitors. Service was attentive and personable. The food was excellent quality and generously portioned.

10/10Delicious food- waiter recommended one of the daily specials- sea bass for two with potatoes and tomatoes - we ate every last scrap - followed by a delicious tiramisu! Waiters were attentive and friendly and the restaurant itself had a really good, buzzy ambiance. This was our third visit in recent years and definitely one we’ll come back to again!

The restaurant and staff were lovely, at first they seated us in a very busy area and I asked to move - the waiter kindly moved my partner and I promptly and apologised. The food was superb, really great flavours and the seafood was amazing. They could do with a bit more staff though, and a bit more organisation for seats.

3.5/10Food is NOT authentic at all. They served BBQ sauce on the plate with the steak and duck. They served Teriyaki sauce with my fish. So weird!! Server said it was to create different flavors. Service was not good either. Do not go for an authentic meal.

6.5/1020% fork discount was refused!! Sitting outside and being served cost 20 euros extra!! Nobody pointed it out when making the reservation, although I had indicated it as a special request outside!! Staff partly very quick and rude. Food small portions and expensive!! Never again!!

8.5/10We had a nice family dinner at Del Lovo before a concert. It is conveniently close to many areas frequented by visitors to Venice. The food was good and the service was friendly. Prices were a little high but this is to be expected based on the location. I would not say this was the best meal we had in Venice. Others just rave and rave about it which is surprising.

9.5/10Excellent central restaurant in a very beautiful spot, on a canal. Very beautiful interior, excellent cuisine. Every dish an experience! The prices are very reasonable for Venice. Definitely visit it. Definitely with a reservation. It is always full.
