10/10My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Osteria del Pegno. The food was fresh and delicious. We asked our waiter to recommend a bottle of wine and he delivered a fabulous bottle to us. Every course was excellent. We highly recommend this restaurant to everyone in Rome.

5.5/10The owner or manager was less than welcoming upon our arrival, we made a reservation and in the notes section we were clear in requesting a table for 3 ppl. Upon arrival I was walked outside of restaurant and schooled on how I needed to call the number of the restaurant as they don’t have the time to read through notes on reservations. Our appetizer came late and one of our meal orders was completely forgotten about. They pushed the entrees on us at the same time as our apps as well. Service felt very rushed and sloppy, Food is 3 out of 5 stars. Had been there once before but I won’t be going back and I will not be recommending this place. There are too many great restaurants in Rome, this place doesn’t come close to the expectation. Too busy for their own good! Humble up…..

Good evening sir, I would like to point out that you made a reservation for two people. It is written on the notes that there were three of you, but why didn't you make a reservation for three people??? For what reason?? Even if you wrote it on the notes, you had our telephone numbers to let us know. You saw for yourself that the place is very small. In addition, we immediately took care of finding you a table. Is that why we welcomed you badly?? Or did we take care of it immediately?? Maybe you should change your attitude when you go to places. I greet you, with a big hug.

10/10+2We always visit this restaurant when we are in Rome sometimes twice on each trip. We love the ambience, it is quiet and relaxing. The food and service are both excellent and good value for money. We have noticed that this restaurant has alot of local familiar customers revisiting. This year we were joined by friends for dinner at Osteria del Pego and they enjoyed the evening immensely. We look forward to dining here again on our next visit to Rome

10/10This is the third time I come to this restaurant in 3 different trips to Rome. And next time I'll be in town, certainly I'll be back: family atmosphere, lovely location and of course high-quality Italian food. What else could I say? I love this restaurant!

10/10I first ate here 7 years ago and the food was just as good. The carciofi Romana were the most tender I’ve had in the past week. The ossobuco melted in my mouth. The staff was friendly (& helped me with my Italian).

9.5/10Nice restaurant in one of the small roads in the Old Town of Rome. It was recommended by our host and rightfully so! We had a table outside and had 3 very good and tasty courses of the menu. Highly recommended.

10/10This is one of our favorite Roman restaurants. It’s tucked away in a nice quiet street - close to Piazza Navona without all of the noise and tourists. The food is excellent and the service was, as always, fantastic. The ciccoria was perfectly seasoned, the pasta dishes were plentiful and not over sauced and the steak and saltimnocca dishes were tender and flavorful. They even happily catered to our picky eater child Can’t wait to go back in the future.

10/10Food is great, speedy service. Location is a bit difficult to find for the first timer. It would be great if the restaurant can add some sign at the entrance. Because we have walked passed the restaurant until we checked google photos for the entrance look. But overall experience is very good.

10/10We first ate here about eight years ago but thanks to the pandemic had not been here in five years. It is still as good as we remembered, nice cozy atmosphere, friendly but not hovering service and best of all some of the best and most creative food in Rome. We enjoyed two specials: a polenta with wild boar sauce and an unusual but delicious pasta e fagioli. My dessert was a silky almost liquid sorbetto di limone. We highly recommend this restaurant. Be sure to reserve. It’s fairly small and fills up quickly.

10/10I read wonderful things about the place before going for dinner. I have to say it was an amazing experience. The food was excellent and very traditional and the service was really kind. It looks to me like restaurant run by family very committed to traditional Italian cuisine. Very recommended if you want to try traditional cuisine with a great ambience and service.

We never forgot the taste:) So, this time My mom and her friends from Turkey were there tonight:) they loved Osteria del Pegno so much????Not only the food but also they really liked the service and the waiter assisting them! Thanks for making my ladies happppy and getting their stomachs full:)

10/10Unique menu with local flavors. Nothing touristy about this unforgettable place. Just fantastic food prepared by experienced staff. We always come here when in Rome and sometimes visit Rome when in Italy just to dine here. You need reservations in prime time.
