10/10It was charming and old school. No frills restaurant with delicious food. It wasn't a scene, like so many other restaurants in Rome. The food delicious, the servers kind and the space absolutely perfect.

Our favorite meal in Italy so far. They do a great job with the veal and tiramisu. Service was fantastic. We loved the quiet alley table in busy Roma.

We have been here many times before. The pesto with carmelized tomatoes looked good, but was way too sweet. I know things get sweet when you carmelize them, but this was almost like they added sugar. We could not finish it.

9/10Hidden gem. Not the most scenic exterior HOWEVER excellent food and service. Great value quality food. Highly recommend the homemade pasta.

Thank you for your visit, and thank you for your praise for both the food and the service. Regarding the price, I'd like to point out one thing. Unfortunately, in the historic center, there are many businesses that don't use high-quality products... Everyone can do what they want. I've been trying to offer quality for thirty years, and I can assure you that quality comes at a slightly higher cost, and there's always a reason why our customers have been coming to us for thirty years. If you're looking for something cheaper, the center is full of touristy places... I always try not to offer something touristy, but something real. 10/10This is always been one of my favorite places in Rome. The atmosphere is intimate and charming romantic,and authentic. The menus well designed the ingredients are freshest. The pasta is homemade and the menu is creative at the same time that is traditional. Youcan’t miss.

Good environment in a small valley. Historical decoration. Good quality of traditional local food. The free bread is good and diverse. A little bit expencive but worth it. 10% service fee is included.

+1This was a lovely dining experience. Massimo took care of everyone and made wonderful suggestions. It’s not everyday when in Italy you go into a restaurant and see the pride that is put into making you feel you are the one that matters! The ambience was beautiful, fresh flowers, linen cloths, low lighting. It was a very romantic setting. Of course not to mention the food was delightful. I wish I would have found this place first, as I would have eaten here again. I will return!

10/10This is the second time we have dined here. It was so good two years ago that we came back with extended family. It did not disappoint and our family memory agreed that it was our favorite dining experience of our 10 day trip. Thank you and we can’t wait to visit again someday soon!

Firstly the food is fantastic, the atmosphere is cosy and relaxed which after a long day in the city is worlds apart. The staff were very attentive to all customers, many language (French and English) barriers but treated with the same care. Topped off with more than fair pricing to round off the experience. Arrivederci.

5.5/10The service was not attentive. We had to call the waiter for everything including to pour the wine. The food was underwhelming. The atmosphere is wonderful though so the expectation was high.

Thank you for your visit, we read your review. We always try to offer a good service to customers as we always try to be able to give the same service to all customers, I do not know if you have frequented other taverns, but I can assure you that our service is good, it seems a bit pretentious your request for the pouring of wine, which requires a greater number of staff our Restaurant cannot support in function of the fact that this would weigh on your bottom line and would not allow us to offer a good service with a good price. With this I hug you tightly and God willing I greet you the owner.

10/10My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Osteria del Pegno. The food was fresh and delicious. We asked our waiter to recommend a bottle of wine and he delivered a fabulous bottle to us. Every course was excellent. We highly recommend this restaurant to everyone in Rome.

5.5/10The owner or manager was less than welcoming upon our arrival, we made a reservation and in the notes section we were clear in requesting a table for 3 ppl. Upon arrival I was walked outside of restaurant and schooled on how I needed to call the number of the restaurant as they don’t have the time to read through notes on reservations. Our appetizer came late and one of our meal orders was completely forgotten about. They pushed the entrees on us at the same time as our apps as well. Service felt very rushed and sloppy, Food is 3 out of 5 stars. Had been there once before but I won’t be going back and I will not be recommending this place. There are too many great restaurants in Rome, this place doesn’t come close to the expectation. Too busy for their own good! Humble up…..

Good evening sir, I would like to point out that you made a reservation for two people. It is written on the notes that there were three of you, but why didn't you make a reservation for three people??? For what reason?? Even if you wrote it on the notes, you had our telephone numbers to let us know. You saw for yourself that the place is very small. In addition, we immediately took care of finding you a table. Is that why we welcomed you badly?? Or did we take care of it immediately?? Maybe you should change your attitude when you go to places. I greet you, with a big hug.

+2We always visit this restaurant when we are in Rome sometimes twice on each trip. We love the ambience, it is quiet and relaxing. The food and service are both excellent and good value for money. We have noticed that this restaurant has alot of local familiar customers revisiting. This year we were joined by friends for dinner at Osteria del Pego and they enjoyed the evening immensely. We look forward to dining here again on our next visit to Rome
