3/10Very disappointing. No ambience, the worst food I’ve eaten in Piedmont and borderline rude server- asked three times to see the ‘carta d.v.’ & was more or less told I could have ‘red or white’. Why is this even in the Michelin guide ? Don’t go !

Dear Ms. Helen, your review came as a surprise to us, as it does not reflect the experience we strive to offer our guests. It is true that you asked for the wine list — which includes over 600 labels from all over the world — and we are sorry if, on that particularly busy evening, the waitress was unable to present it with the calm and detail it deserves. She may have asked whether you preferred red or white wine in order to speed up the service, but certainly not with the intention of limiting our selection. We understand that ambience is a very subjective matter; however, we usually receive very positive feedback, as happened on the same evening when other guests expressed their full satisfaction with both the food and the service. We have been featured in the Michelin Guide for over twenty years thanks to the evaluation of qualified inspectors, and we will continue to work hard to always offer our best. 7.5/10A well located restaurant in the centre of town. We ate upstairs in a nice room. The service is very good with French and English both understood. The wine list is extensive and very good value. The food was only average for a decent restuarant. Nothing wrong with it but the sauces were mediocre. Portion sizes are large. I would return but probably have 2 starters.

Food is of optimal quality and prepared wonderfully. The stuffed onions and the fried eggplant flowers (when in season) are delightful starters. Delicate flavors from both are a perfect entryway to any main dish. The risotto with fresh funghì porcini did not disappoint and the veal with a hint of black olives was exquisite. Of course, the night would not be complete without dessert and we chose the torta di nocciole with gianduja sauce. A great finale!

10/10This restaurant is a gem! Extraordinary quality of ingredients, outstanding and truly authentic local cuisine tradition, friendly service, magnificent grand dining room at the second floor, located in the historic district close to the must see monumental complex of San Francesco and the Civic Museum. Unmissable!

10/10This is simply a top place. The cooking and ingredients are first class. Service lovely. The lunch Menu Chiocciola was the best 35€ I have ever spent on food. The gnocchi was ok another level, like eating little pillows. The Uovo en cocotte con tartufo was the best egg dish we've ever had. Go.

6.5/10Second time here. Wine service was poor this time. Ordered a nebbiolo: out of stock. Then ordered a barolo: out of stock. The owner then suggested another barolo but shook the bottle so much that the significant deposit was distributed. Reduced the price by 50% but more care needs to be taken in the first place. And update the winelist!

4.5/10We ate here a few years ago and found it delightful. We were disappointed to find the food average and the service unfriendly upon our return. The Barbera d’Asti was excellent though
