10/10Excellent food and service. I was not expecting the level of creative and unusual food combinations which attests to the chef’s skills. The service was impeccable and the staff so professional and pleasant. A wonderful date night!

10/10Loved this restaurant when we first visited (twice) over 12 years ago. Glad that is is still a superb restaurant. The dishes are very gourmet and special. The house wine is also fantastic. Highly recommend.

10/10What a great setting to have a delightful meal. The service was excellent and attentive. The food was fantastic with elegant presentations. The wine list is excellent. It’s really hard to find anything to fault with this meal. Our whole group thought it was the best meal of our trip. It was probably the most expensive of our trip, but well worth the experience. Highly recommend this one if you are anywhere near Chianti.

10/10We had a leisurely and wonderful Saturday lunch: fegatini starter was very inventive and delicious, bottoni pasta (filled w a rich onion filling) was our favorite. We will return!

2.5/10The food in the restaurant is overly fancy, more decorations than food. The portions are extremely small, the highlight was the vegetarian main course which consisted of five small pieces of pumpkin with a few garnishes and that was it. The prices are outrageously expensive and the service is very slow. We asked the waiters to find out how the portions could be so small and they shrugged their shoulders and did not give an answer. Recommend to avoid this restaurant.

10/10What an amazing restaurant. A modern take on many traditional Italian dishes. It’s fine dining and you pay accordingly, but not over the top. The wines from their vineyard we reasonably priced and beautiful. The service was helpful but not over the top. Will try to go again.

10/10What a lovely spot to discover on our trip between Siena and Florence. Though dark when we arrived, the restaurant seems to be set in a beautiful location. The service was kind and good, the food delicious and the menu varied, and the wine incredible. Oh, and the atmosphere - amazing!

10/10We went to this restaurant for an early lunch before going to do our wine tasting experience in Chianti. The restaurant was in a beautiful location in the countryside surrounded by vineyards. The perfect spot if you are looking to have a countryside experience in Tuscany. The food was amazing and very good quality. They serve Italian food and local products with revisited dishes, we really enjoyed it and we wished we had more time to stay!

10/10We enjoyed a very good dinner with a combination of creative and classical cuisine accompanied by one of Fonterutoli's own superb wines (Chianti Classico Riserva). The service was outstanding: attentive and friendly without being intrusive. We were very impressed at how well informed the personnel were about the dishes and the wines. We know this is something than should be expected, but we experience it all too rarely. The menu is not extensive yet offers a range of options including seafood as well as local fare. The country chic atmosphere blends perfectly with the location in an upmarket Chianti hamlet.

9.5/10This restaurant had a great terrace ambiance. The food was amazing: I got the truffle tagliatelle and my husband got the ravioli- both were very flavorful. The tiramisu 3.0 was an unbelievably delicious dessert. Would definitely return and recommend!

10/10We ate outside under the shadow of a magnificent tree and tried a couple of starters (sformatino was amazing) a dish of tagliatelle and a very tasty filetto. Waiters were very nice even with our little dog. Reasonable prices.

8.5/10Wonderfully attentive service from the waiting team and a great atmosphere in the dining area as the tables filled up. The food was beautifully presented and contained all the flavours and textures we expected - accompanied by a superb home-grown Chianti of course! Our only disappointment was with the tiramisu which, while being presented in a novelty and amusing manner, was nothing more than a lightly coffee-flavoured custard atop a biscotti. They also charged me for the zucchini side order that didn't actually arrive but as the rest of the meal, barring my dessert, was an excellent experience I didn't quibble. I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant and will happily return the next time we are in the area,

10/10Osteria di Fonterutoli is still keeping is level and quality. Any time we are in Tuscany we aim to get here. Very fresh, good prepared tuscany food with a touch from Mazzei family, and their wines It is still one of the best place in all Chianti. So if you somewhere around you must get there

10/10Our family party of ten were staying near Siena and decided to take a drive into the Chianti hills to Fonterotoli where we had stopped en route from Florence earlier in the week. It was a stunning summers day and on arrival we were immediately greeted and were seated under a large awning: we felt as if we were special guests at a wedding reception.! The staff were attentive and charming and the food was faultless in flavour and presentation. We had entrees of potato gnocchi maremma, Chianti tuna (rabbit), aubergine flan, and grilled radicchio with burnt pear sauce. All were simply delicious as were our mains. Several bottles of the local rose made for a perfect accompaniment to the meal. Extra bottles were purchased at the emote a to take back to the villa. The House olive oil also deserves mention. Highly recommended.

4.5/10This is a restaurant, which I have not been satisfied with. The service is somehow not interested in the guest. The restaurant seems to consider itself of a certain high standard, but in fact it is just too expensive... and does not offer anything worth to remember...

8.5/10I've dined at the Osteria many times, and the food is always lovely. However the service this time was rude and not at all like I'm accustomed to in Tuscany. All of us who dined live here half the year, so whether it's a simple trattoria or an upscale restaurant like Fonterutoli, guests are always treated almost as family. Today was the first time that wasn't the case. It's the end of a long, and successful season, but every guest is special ... please don't forget that!
