Excellent food but the waitresses seem not to be happy to work there so the service is the minimum we could expert, not more. There were a lot of noice due to american people speaking very load and we even could not hear out own conversation.

Per l'inglese facciamo del nostro meglio e per la gente che parlava ad alta voce l'abbiamo fatto presente ai diretti interessati ma sicuramente non possiamo tagliargli la lingua!!! Buona giornata!

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Osteria i 4 gatti. The welcome was warm and attentive, making me feel instantly comfortable. Every dish was prepared with care and passion—authentic flavors, fresh ingredients, and beautiful presentation. The service was efficient without ever feeling rushed, and every wine recommendation perfectly complemented the food. The atmosphere is cozy and authentically Italian, the kind of place where you feel at home and want to return again and again. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who appreciates refined Italian cuisine and outstanding service. Bravo to the entire team!

We have been to the restaurant several times over the past five years but this was the first time that the service has been poor. We waited a long time from sitting down to having our order taken which I put down to not enough staff. There was one person taking orders, one person showing to tables and one delivering food. two of these people were almost running around the restaurant which is not only dangerous but doesn't look good to customers. about twenty minutes after finishing our main, which was very nice, we were asked if we wanted to see the desert menu and we said yes, ten minutes past and we asked one of the other staff members who brought menus 10 minutes later but nobody ever came to take our order so we eventually left having only had main course. The food was very good but the owners need to get more staff, it was very busy and a particularly frustrating night for us.

We recommend this restaurant to anyone passing through San Gimignano. The experience seemed very authentic, and the waiter was very attentive and made some great recommendations for both food and wine. If possible, we recommend sitting outside on the terrace as this offered a great atmosphere during sunset.

Visited for early dinner on the shaded terrace. The food was very good - lamb with gorgonzola, steak and rosemary oil, truffle carbonara, canneloni beans with sage, wild boar ragu and pasta. Loved it all. Not cheap though for 5 people 148E.

The staff came across as rude, tired, and uninterested in their work. The restaurant is filled with unpleasant signs scolding customers with rules and regulations, which makes for a very unwelcoming atmosphere. People coming in for a nice lunch shouldn’t have to deal with that. The food was no better. The grilled lamb was overcooked and nearly inedible, served with overly salted roasted potatoes. The pasta was bland and completely forgettable. Unfortunately, in a tourist-heavy area the options can be limited, but I expected better given the ratings on TheFork. This place was a disappointment and not worth your time. Skip it and look elsewhere for a proper meal.

" I regolamenti " come dice lei, sono stati creati per la gente maleducata con cui abbiamo avuto esperienze maleducate. Ovunque si vada si seguono regole, non solo a casa propria. Si parla di gusto personale perché il cibo era buono!!!

The service is so warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Combined with a peaceful and charming atmosphere, it’s the perfect place to enjoy lunch or dinner. Every dish is crafted with fresh ingredients and rooted in traditional Tuscan recipes, resulting in authentic, beautifully balanced flavors. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed a great dinner, regardless of there not being four cats on site! ;) The restaurant is a little off the busier streets of S. Gimignano and the atmosphere is cozy. The drink and food were great value for money, and the staff was friendly and attentive.

This is a quaint restaurant inside the wall of San Gimignano. The menu has lots of options. The service was good and the ambiance fantastic. However, the food did not match the quality of the venue. The wild boar “stew” was just meat, and the beef dish seemed like it had been under a warmer for a while as it was dry. Could have been an isolated experience.

Lovely peaceful setting on the terrace. Had a big round table with lots of space. Efficient service. We had just 1 pasta dish. The truffle pasta was tasty but quite a small portion.

We are regular guests as this is a great place to eat. Interesting modern versions of Tuscan dishes, an excellent winelist snd great service. It was busy but everything went smooth. A must if you go to this part of Tuscany
