One of the best meals I’ve ever had! Wonderful food prepared simply, fantastic recommendation on wine, friendly, welcoming and attentive staff, and a comfortable, elegant and yet cozy atmosphere both inside and outside. Cannot recommend enough!

A friend of my daughter recommended this restaurant and we were not disappointed. All of the food was organic/bio and mostly locally sourced. We had the salami and cheese boards as starters followed by pasta. The salami and cheese selection was superb. My pasta dish was the Cappelletti with burrata and tartufo nero. I loved it. My husband had the gnocchi which was also delicious. We hoped to be able to have a main course which looked wonderful but we were too full so we squeezed in dessert instead. My husband had the Tiramisu and I tried the local dessert wine with home made biscuits. We'll definitely be going back to try some of the wonderful sounding entrees.

A quiet dinner. The steak and lamb chops were excellent. The Montefalco Rosso wine was superb. Service was attentive and respectful. Overall a terrific dinner.

Excellent spot amid the wineries in Montefalco. The staff are friendly and happy to give advice on the food/wines. We’ve been there a number of times and always have a very good experience.

We very much enjoyed our culinary experience at the Osteria. The food quality was great at reasonable prices. We were the only tourists there in August (!), as it is a bit off the main tracks so it is mainly frequented by the locals. I very much recommend this place if you are in Foligno / Bevagna / Montefalco region...

If you are wine tasting in the Montefalco area, this place is a convenient well placed restaurant with excellent dishes and service. The wine selection is also fantastic, with many local wines available but also one of the widest international wine selections I've found in Italy. You can also buy wines and local cheeses, meats, to take home. Indoor and outdoor seating. English spoken.

While a short drive from the center of Montefalco, Osteria il Sagrantino is well worth the effort. We had one of the best meals here, traveling around Umbria for one month. The ingredients were superior, and the preparation was simultaneously creative and classical. The service was real, welcoming, and accommodating (quite a relief, after some aloof encounters during our travels). We left the table with that special glow that can only happen after being exceptionally well wined and dined. Highly highly recommended.
