Beautiful dinner at Osteria La lanterna last night. We enjoyed octopus salad, mixed seafood pasta and bocconcini which were all excellent. We shared a torta paradiso with some local desert wine. Service was friendly and efficient and the house wine very acceptable too. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

We’ve decided to order an antipasti for 2 and it was wonderful to taste many typical dishes! Then we had the octopus and squid as second and it was great! Highly recommend

Perfect Service, delicious food. The price for the meal was fair and not expensive The grilled octopus was spectaculary good

Service ok. We asked if the fish was fresh which they garanteed. Shrimps tasted not fresh and we got infected with salmonella. Sick for several days after that visit. Will never recommend anybody to go there.

Low key and delicious. We had the smoked fish starter for two. There were six of us and we all had some of everything on this smoked everything platter. It was scrumptious. Two people with large appetites could handle it, but they might consider ordering half portions of the next course (30% off). Three of us had the busiati (so?) with monkfish etc. Splendid. Nice wine selection, too. So, don’t expect fancy, just superb Sicilian delights. Highly recommended.

We asked for the out-of-menu dish; a fresh and delicious Capone (lampuga) was served alongside cous cous, frittura di paranza (different varieties of fish), frittura di calamari and pasta alla Trapanese. A friendly lady (?owner) was incredibly lovely, helped us in choosing our food. Very nice experience in a really picturesque Osteria. Highly recommended.

A small family run restaurant. Service was welcoming and polite but at times a bit too frenetic which made it look like they wanted us to finish up quickly. Quality of products are certainly high as well as the quantity which were in line if not above average. Prices where a bit unexplainable as the pasta mains had the same prices as the seafood/meat courses. Although in the city centre I’m confused on to how they have similar if not higher prices than in Rome. As appetisers I got something off the menu which was in season and suggested by the waitress which in fact was very nice. Presentation of pasta mains were good while seafood/meat courses were flavourful but need a bit of a revisit as they weren’t that appealing to the eye. Overall good.

Restaurant was aware of our Fork booking when we arrived. It is apparently very popular and was very crowded, but we did not have to wait long for a table. The menu was refreshingly unusual and the food quality and preparation excellent. Even the house white wine was excellent. Service was omnipresent (by multiple people) Very good value for the money. Highly enjoyed & highly recommended.
