7.5/10Food was to a good standard and there was a sufficiently varied selection. The ambience is cosy and welcoming. The decoration in the toilet area would benefit from being updated. Our request for menus (rather than using QR codes) was initially refused by the waitress, although menus were provided when we asked for a second time.

7/10The staff was clearly overwhelmed and overbooked. The food was good but I wouldn’t recommend for the type of service we received. They definitely need to figure out how to hire more help or not allow everyone to sit at the same time. People outside complaining of long wait times on their food and we personally experienced a rude and unprofessional waitress who was clearly overwhelmed and stressed and ended up taking it out on us, the paying customers... Such a shame because the potential of the place was high.

I don't understand why since we pointed out that what we have as furniture are not children's toys. when we pointed it out to you you apologized, so that was fine with us. there will always be days with reservations where people arrive at the same time. We try to do everything to make the times as correct as possible. if you look at all the reviews on all the industry sites you will realize that our timing is always considered fast due to the quality we offer and the vast menu. take care of the education of your splendid little girls and we'll take care of our work, since we've been doing it for 30!!!!

10/10A friend and I enjoyed a delightful 2 hour lunch at Osteria la solita Zuppa! I had the Tasting Menu, which you can tailor by selecting each course. Each dish and sauce was better than the next! My favorites were the vegetable flan appetizer, the ginger ravioli, and the osso buco. Each was cooked to perfection with beautifully seasoned sauces! The host was so gracious and the wait staff very efficient.

10/10Upon entering you smell the warm aroma of smokey bacon and fresh bread. A gem off the beaten path in the hill town of chiusi. Lovely etruscan cuisine and sone special twists on classics such as duck ragu and ravioli with ginger. Make a reservation as it fills up fast. You will be glad you ventured to this family-run homey place.

10/10We arrived shortly after opening. We had a larger group than anticipating and they accomodated us without an issue and pushed the tables together so we all could enjoy the meal together. The owner then took his time to really explain the traditions and what the food meant and why they prepare it the way they do in the traditional Tuscan way. It was so welcoming and authentic. I had the full menu that he also helped me choose some very good dishes and also made sure that I got the 1 zuppa that my Fiance didn't get as she ordered the Soup Menu. What a great experience! Highly recommend!

9/10Looked for good restorant on our way from Toscana to Rome, closed to A1 and after Pienza. Booked through Michelin guide at the same day. The restorant is near public parking ( about 2 minutes walk). The table was reserved for us, the food was excellent .

10/10Have loved La Solita Zuppa for more than 20 years... and nothing makes us happier than being welcomed back with warmth and good humor! The food just keeps getting better... but the atmosphere remains the same. Cannot say enough about this charming, delicious osteria! A thousand stars!!!

10/10What a terrific restaurant! Andrea, the owner was charming and passionate about his food. He offered great suggestions and wine pairings. The white ragu with pici and the ravioli with lemon zest were so good we ordered another round of them. We will definitely be back! One of the best meals we have had in Tuscany.
