8/10The food was lovely. However we have had asked for a mixture of fried vegetables (on the menu) when arrived, was just one vegetable (not mixed) when mentioned to the waiter we where told: “it’s what it is”. Not the service expected in a restaurant like this

5.5/10Food was good, nice to have Prosecco & apéritifs on arrival. However the service wasn’t great . Tried to take our plates while we were still eating & waitress shrugged her shoulders dismissively when we said we were still eating. Not particularly welcoming. Expensive, which we would have been happy with if we got the service to match.

8/10A great restaurant, sparkling interior, great menu, service was charming, friendly and helpful. As an example ,We were a family booking of 6. 4 of whom were over 20 but below 25. As a result starting out in terms of enjoying red wine…Julio helped choose an affordable but delicious red wine which suited the meal brilliantly. Would love to come back

9.5/10Great place for a family dinner. Excellent food and ambience. We really loved majority of the dishes we tried. Service was extremely friendly. Maybe some improvement in professionalism? Prosecco is a great aperitif but would be great first to ask the guests before filling the glasses:) not a big deal we liked it . Second moment - when I ordered red wine … 125Euro is not even average price for wine in the cart.. Waiter checked 4 times (!) if I know the price:) Again all in very friendly way. Generally we spend great Christmas evening, in very friendly atmosphere, great food, great wine. We loved it! Strongly recommended!

9.5/10As frequent visitors to Milano we have used this restaurant several times and never been disappointed. The staff and service have been excellent, with a good menu choice coupled with a welcoming glass of wine and aperitif. The food is of excellent quality and what I feel is a great and unusual part of the meal, the waiter brings a tray with the different deserts available to our table rather than choosing from a menu ...... a nice touch. A quality establishment I would highly recommend

6.5/10I've been here before with a small and it was great. However, I went with a larger group and they realized we were Americans and up sold us on a couple of dishes and followed us to the door and pushed for a tip. Unfortunately I was being treated for the meal and didn't realize that the person paying tipped 50€ which is not customary. I felt like they were taking advantage of us. This is unfortunate because this was going to be a great local spot for us because we live very close by. It's a shame because they would have gotten a lot of repeat business from us but instead they took advantage. We will not be going back unless they resolve the situation.

10/10We went to mammarosa for the last two nights, which is not something we would normally do, but the risotto convinced us that this was a very very good place to eat. Each dish was excellently prepared and the service was amazing. 2 special nights in Milan. Grazie Mammarosa!

4/10I was not familiar with italian dishes, I asked the waiter for recommendation regarding fish menw. Unfortunately the food, based on the recommendation was really disappointing.

7/10Very nicely laid out restaurant with attractive wall decoration. Main course of seafood very good but spoiled a little by chipped wine glass and very overdone scallops to start, could hardly remove them from shells. Pity. Rather expensive.

10/10We returned to the restaurant one week after our first visit and were impressed again! The atmosphere was lively and full of neighborhood energy and the food was again delicious. An interesting and diverse menu--could enjoy eating off the menu for two weeks and never repeat a dish.

8/10Charming and obviously popular restaurant with a "neighborhood" feel but which is clearly better than standard "neighborhood" fare. Lobster pasta and veal cutlet were both excellent; service was attentive. We would definitely consider returning.

10/10My husband and I had a wonderful meal at Mamma Rosa this evening. We were ably served by Dominco who was extremely professional and suggested a bottle of wine (Lucidelsud Greco di Tufo Feudi di San Gregorio) that paired very well with our meal. My husband and I both choose the tasting menu, and thought it was an excellent value at €45 per person. I loved the starter (the salmon tartar over black Venus rice, and avocado cream), the pasta (Tagliolini with cherry tomatoes and tuna), and the secondi piatti ( a lovely branzino with a breaded potato crust and a very fresh green salad accompaniment). All were delicious and in very generous portions. The simplicity of the Greek yogurt custard with fresh berries was a delightful finish. I wasn’t expecting more dolce - or the chilled shot glass of lemonicello, which together were the perfect cap to a very fine meal. I would recommend Mamma Rosa to anyone who wants great value, excellent service, and delicious food in a refined, but never stuffy atmosphere.

10/10Excellent food, with perfect wine suggestions in a pleasant atmosphere. They even surpised us with a cake-music for our anniversary! How on earth did they know? Thank you for a great evening guys!!!
