Lunch at of my favorite restaurants in Gravina, Osteria Radici, built into a cave on the road to the ravine and the aqueduct bridge Their focus is on traditional Gravinese food made with local ingredients. We started with their fried zucchini with mint and the bruschetta with a peperoni preserve and pallone di Gravina cheese. For mains, we had the spicy assassins’s pasta and the braciole di cavallo, along with wine from Radici’s vineyard (a blend of Primitivo, Nero di Troia, and Montepulciano). For dessert, sporcamuss, crispy puff pastry filled with custard. Service is excellent and the restaurant is beautifully appointed, especially during the holidays! A wonderful “last supper” on our Pugliese tour!

+3Lovely innovative cooking in a beautiful restaurant. Service was excellent even though only one waiter working. Shame it was less than 1/2 full.

Great service. Wonderful food! My husband loved the carbonara. We are from London, he said it was the best Carbonara he has ever had in his life!!! And we’ve been to many Michelin star restaurants in the UK, but the Carbonara we had at this restaurant near them hands down!

Very nice-looking restaurant with a pleasant and helpfull service. Portions were un-Italian large which made sure that we couldn't finish all... but that's better than complaining about small portions :). Quality of the food was excellent. I'll be back :)

the service was good and the restaurant is very beautiful, especially de grotte sections that were empty at the time. the food itself was disappointing, the main dishes were not very tasty, I found the lamb meat in the roast pan very dry. the bread and olive oil at the start was indeed very good though, and the desserts were good as well.

The restaurant is a beautiful and rustic place. We shared a number of Pugliese appetizers to start and had cavatellini with cream of rapini as our main course. The desserts were also very good, especially the baba.

Carbonara was very salty, other pasta had no taste. Steak was good.

Very nice location, on the edge of old village, with a large presence of the local “tufo” stone. Big room a little bit affected by a light system that could be improved to enhance privacy. Service was polite and professional, but table has been “messed up” by number of plates present, at the same time in a small space (partially improved by a side table added for the wine cooler). Food was very good, with traditional dishes cooked at its best. Presentation was not great but that is really a detail. Good qualoty/price ratio at the end. Recommended

Enjoyed very much in this restaurant. For sure it was worth it to drive from Matera to this restaurant. Taste, quality, cooking performance, everything was extraordinary!

Nice decor. Nice presentation of the dishes. Local beef dishes very tasty, but tough. Maitre very cordial and professional. Interesting tour of the restaurant interior at the end of the meal.
