10/10We were looking for a casual, easy, relaxing and delicious meal and it did just that. The pomme puree was delicious, the lamb even better, the burger was perfect. Highly recommend an easy relaxed dining experience.

10/10We loved every aspect of our dinner. The service was very friendly and quick and the food was perfectly cooked. We had the foie gras and onion soup as starters. The foie gras was slightly flavoured with chilli, very unique and it worked very well. The soup was not too heavy and had a generous portion of cheese on top. For the main we both had the entrecôte. It was delicious! A large piece of meat, great peppercorn sauce, and very crispy thin fries. For dessert was had the affogato and a crêpe. The chocolate ice cream was so smooth and rich, one of the best I've tasted in a long time. I strongly recommend this restaurant. A true gem, not just a tourist trap, and worth every penny!

10/10This is my wife's favorite restaurant. We came here six years ago and had such a great experience that it was our first stop when we came back to Paris. It did not disappoint! The service was so kind and accommodating with our three jet lagged children and the food was just as great as we remembered. I can't recommend enough trying the French onion soup and the duck with orange sauce.

10/10We had a great lunch. Six of us each had something different (1 salad, 1 sandwich, 1 duck, 1 beef bourg, etc). Every dish was delicious. And I think we ere the only tourists in the restaurant.

10/10We went there for lunch, and enjoyed every minute. Delicious crispy cod fish and chips-not greasy and very fresh. The fries were wonderful. The big winner was the lox club sandwich. So much salmon, cucumbers and tomatoes between three pieces of thinly sliced bread. Friendly staff and nice wine choices.

5.5/10Quaint, cozy restaurant, with lovely ambiance and friendly staff. However, no background music at all and we were literally the only people in the restaurant at 6:30pm. I understand that’s still a tad early for French folks to go to dinner, but the two restaurants next door were both quite busy. The magret canard that my husband had was terrible and my fish and chips were bland and tasteless as if the fish had been frozen. Sadly this place had been strongly recommended by host, but we were thoroughly unimpressed.

2/10Frozen french fries - they have served that, the desert was old and the shrimps were also frozen. The lady who served was very rude and tried to take more money than the note itself

9.5/10This was our second time eating at Pain d'epices and it was every bit as good as the last time. The duck in orange sauce is by far the best that we have ever had-- amazing. Nice wine list, reasonably priced. Delicious desserts. Small restaurants like this have had an especially tough time the last couple of years, and I hope that tourists and locals will step up and support restaurants like this.

9.5/10What a fine restaurant, from the first friendly greeting to clothe final bite of dessert. This is a small, modest-looking restaurant, but the food is wonderful. The duck breast is especially good— the orange sauce is the best I have ever tasted. Reasonably priced wine, and terrific desserts. We had a wonderful combination of morello cherries in a sweet and boozy sauce, with vanilla ice create, cherry sorbet, and whipped cream— the perfect finish to a great meal.

10/10A fantastic find on Ile Saint-Louis. We must have walked past this lovely little restaurant numerous times but from now on we will be calling in (if only for ice-cream). We visited for an early New Years Eve dinner and the service and food was outstanding. My favourite French onion soup yet. All courses were delicious and very well priced. You won't be disappointed.

8/10we sat outside and had a lovely meal. the lamb shank was really good. duck orange not bad either. not excited about the prime rib. as per other reviews, the french onion soup was amazing! the smoked salmon starter was a huge portion with 4 pieces of toast. we also loved the little bowls of mashed potatoes that came with our meal. the server was very pleasant!

9.5/10Really good french restaurant!!! We did not expect much but everything was perfect - food (tartare) - starter (onion soup with cheese) Quantity was generous and the food was really fresh Location is really good as well
