10/10The location and view were gorgeous. The service from the wait staff was outstanding. Very friendly and fun! The food was amazing - the best lamb and lobster and dessert! We appreciated the “kill the coffee” after dinner drinks!

10/10Palmaría exceeded all our expectations and gave us a night we will remember forever! From the moment we walked in, we were blown away by the stunning views and the incredible ambiance. The food was absolutely phenomenal—each dish was a masterpiece, bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The service was impeccable, with every waiter attending to our needs with such warmth and professionalism. Special thanks to Anna, who went out of her way to make sure our evening was perfect. Her kindness and attention to detail made our experience truly exceptional. We can’t wait to return to Palmaría—it’s a gem we’ll never forget! Five stars all the way!

5.5/10The food wasn’t all that good, especially for the price. My pasta with mussels was way too salty (I should have sent it back), the fois gras had zero flavor, the steak was pretty bland. Overall, very very average food

10/10Incredible food in a spectacular setting. Truly novel interpretation of classics - the baccalà and the risotto with shrimp and pumpkin were sumptuous. Very attentive a Professional staff. A must if you are in Porto Venere.

9/10Pleasantly surprised. We were staying at the Grand hotel and ate here for convenience sake upon arrival. The views from this restaurant are spectacular. It’s located in a very beautiful quiet fishing village with incredible views. Highly recommend.

2/10We made a booking through Fork and clearly noted that we would bring our two small dogs. At arrival it was noted to us that the restaurant policy is no animals. Even though I have all the respect for any policy and I do not feel bitter about restaurants not accepting dogs, but what I feel is completely without respect is that we were not notified before. The restaurant had plenty of time after receiving and CONFIRMING the reservation to contact us and let us know. It really is not acceptable and shameful.

10/10What a view! The food was inventive and delicious and the service was excellent. The restaurant itself is lovely and quiet enough for us to have good conversation. I stopped by in the afternoon to request a window table and we got the best one! Silvia made sure of it. I would absolutely dine here again.

6/10This restaurant tries too hard to be super posh but fails on service and food, which is not what you might want for the prices it charges. There are equally good offerings in Portovenere, and many better, so for foodies expecting high quality food and discreet, attentive service, this was a disappointment. On the plus side, the view is wonderful (if you have a seat facing it) and the wine is drinkable.

6.5/10The food was excellent. But being placed in the center of the room was not fun. I work has a server in a nice steak house. So know how to stage time on guest ordering thier courses. We felt very rushed. Our waited wanted all the courses together. Maybe it's the way I was trained not to do.

8/10The ambience of the terrace sitting area was good as we have a table that was facing the sea. The season plate with fried calamari & prawn was quite ok, not very marvelous as compared to our previous fried seafood dish at one of the Corniglia restaurant.

6.5/10Palmaria is perfectly situated in the middle of Portovenere with wonderful sea views. Service was almost flawless (except for the espresso I ordered and never got) and Bruno, our waiter, was absolutely charming. We had the tasting menu - 4 courses for 65 euros. The raw seabass dish was wonderful. Very fresh, simple, with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil - perfect. The traditional mussles dish was also very good, just a bit too salty. The other 2 courses did not match the beginning of the meal. Pasta with chick peas & calamari looked very enticing on the meni, but tasted mainly of MSG. Very strange in this kind of restaurant. The seabass with vegetables (which they graciously agreed to serve us instead of the John Dory that was on the menu) was too small and really plain and bland. We had a wonderful white wine from Elba. Dessert (chocolate mousse ( was very good. I feel that with a little effort this restaurant could be amazing. Unfortunately this was not our experience,

3/10Over hyped & over priced. They try to make their food interesting bit miss the mark. For exzmple, a steamed soggy skinned sea bass fillet serbed with mayonnaise. Stuffy and pretentious. staff was fine.

10/10Our lunch was lovely! We had an order of grilled vegetables as an appetizer and a nice pasta with pesto and an order of mussels. All were beautiful and delicious. Our server recommended a local white wine. A seagull attacked the food of a young couple who were sitting in the sun at the edge of the scenic terrace but they were quickly rescued and their table reset immediately by the efficient servers, And we had a twenty percent discount for booking through trip advisor.

5.5/10We had hoped and expected a bit better, food was okay but far from great. Very much staff but awfull service (only 1 friendly waitress, all others did not make you feel welcome at all). The glass from our appetizer was left at the table all evening, fake nice etc. Never again, was a waist of money
