Very simple spot with an extensive menu and excellent food.

This was not our first visit. Saturday lunch time we were able to book a table for 2pm. We took a 20 minute leisurely walk from the station at Sao Joao. As previously, the food and service were excellent. Main course, desserts and a premium wine came to less than €60 fot the two of us. There was entertainment in the form of a singer/guitarist. The sound wasn't intrusive and the range of music suited our tates. My favourite was a rendition of Sting's 'An Englishman in New York."

It was a truly memorable evening. A small, authentic Portuguese canteen, family owned with live music, dancing, incredible, family style food. It was delicious and not pricy at all. More than worth it. Thank you for a really nice experience. Definitely coming back

A house where imagination brings back fond memories of the mythical expression "typically Portuguese." Such spaces are becoming increasingly rare and often misleading for tourists , but not this one. Atmosphere, warmth, quality, and genuinely Portuguese gastronomic options. Nothing more needs to be said.

Great original Portuguese restaurant with excellent food and service. Maria was awesome and spoke English too so guided us. We ordered a variety of dishes as we were a group of 11.

An excellent local Portuguese. It has a great family run atmosphere. Don’t expect fine dining and you will love it. Go when they have a Fado night

A very typical, family manage restaurant with food so delicious and homemade that we will keep it in our memories for long ! We had a marvelous time with the owners and cooks and other guests. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming and we will definitely be back asap ! Totally recommended place !

Great experience for my family everything from the service to the food or the friendliness with which they receive this and entertain us, including our toddler. Food was great to large portions, fair price.
