10/10This was a great find. We booked well in advance of our visit to Lisbon based on the reviews. Every table was reserved on a Friday evening and it was full of locals. The staff were fantastic and very welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu and really helpful with choices including the wine. The food and wine were great and the bread, cheese, olives and crab dip as appetisers were fab! Strongly recommend this restaurant but book early! Lots of tables full of friends and families and great atmosphere.

10/10Came back after 2 years and Páteo 51 was just as good as we remembered. Duck and Shrimp curry are top notch. Great wine selection. It’s a must visit when in Lisbon!

5.5/10Bread basket and olives on the table when you sit down are NOT free- and servers do not mention that when you are seated. Also, not enough options without gluten, considering it says GF options on menu - The green beans and the Thai curry dish need not have flour in them, for example. Server was pushy for this expensive restaurant.

10/10This is a real find, the waiter was very welcoming, they had nice little touches of a tasty cheese & olives with delicious bread to welcome us. We tried the prawn & cod a bras.. they were delicious. The service was smooth & slick, even though they had 2 other large parties in. We’ll be back, thank you.

7/10The food was not fresh as previously stated. How can you deceive customers like this?The octopus was over-salted and the vegetables with the fish already had an unpleasant taste.There are restaurants much cheaper and much better quality food.

10/10Service and food was excellent. The octopus was the best I have ever had. My wife had veal which was equlally as good. The waiter was very helpful in selecting as we want to try Portuguese Verde. Highly recommended

10/10Pateo 51 was wonderful. You definitely want to make a reservation as almost all of the tables were accounted for, even on a Tuesday evening. The service, food, and wine were all top notch.!

8.5/10The food was amazing. Service was a little abrupt. And it may be something that was lost in translation but they gave us bread, cheese and meat when we sat down which we didn’t order. We thought it was standard but then got charged for it. That said, it was all delicious as were our entrees.

8.5/10Great Octopus a Laraheira. Monkfish rice was a bit tasteless though portions were generous. Wines are overpriced for Portugal quality. Sweet waitstaff. Very busy and accommodating.

10/10Visiting from Texas and in Lisbon for the first time. Beautiful city and an excellent meal at Pateo 51. On a suggestion from the chefs wife we met, we made it a point to seek out your restaurant and we are so glad we did! Be sure and check it out.

10/10The recommendations for wine and clams to be shared were excellent. The grilled octopus was incredible but I personally would have preferred less butter/olive oil. Whatever they did to plain steamed string beans should be patented. Wonderful meal.

10/10We were staying at the Sana Hotel locally and wanted a good locals type restaurant, we looked at reviews and seemed ok so we booked in. Great staff, menu in multiple languages, explanations of things we didn't understand. Ordered food and it was lovely tasting, hot and fresh washed down with a few glasses of wine! A little tip - the restaurant is hidden away and at one end of the alleyway there is a small park area with a drinks kiosk, go there for pre drinks, sit with the locals and enjoy a glass of wine in the park- we did, it was great..

8.5/10We got a table as requested in the reservation. The food is very good and the ambiente of restaurant is really pleasant. We will certainly come again even though with the service we had a mixed experience. Positive: The waiter was always friendly and answered questions competently. Negative: I felt rather rushed: (1) Immediately after arrival, while we were still standing by our table to take off our coats, the waiter came with a starter dish and asked whether we wanted it. We hadn't even sat down yet, let alone had a chance to see the menu! (2) Next, the bottle of wine that we had ordered was brought and immediately poured into the glasses without offering to test it. (3) A bit later, when we had just started with the bread and cheese that was already on the table when we arrived (unsolicited, but accepted by us) we were asked whether we wanted the main dish that we had ordered to be served NOW. Being taken by surprise, we unfortunately accepted: It was brought immediately, while we were still in the middle of eating the starter.

10/10We happened on this restaurant based on the reviews and it exceeded our expectations. Everything is made to order fresh and the detail and presentation were amazing. Being unfamiliar with Portuguese wine our server recommendations were spot on! We can’t wait to come back in May next year.

9/10Each one of our four entrees were perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. The grilled grouper was moist and still flaky. The monk fish over rice with shrimp and mussels was the best dish and reminded me a of gumbo stew. A perfect was to end our meal was with a lemon meringue pie, that just had the right amount of tartness, and the panacotta with raspberry couli.

9.5/10Very friendly welcome and excellent service throughout the meal. We had a fish and seafood stew for two which was delicious. The appetizer of shrimp with exotic sauce was equally good. For desert we shared a very good panna cotta.
