Great neighborhood restaurant by Jardim da amoreiras. Food and service is excellent along with the tasting of their homemade Port and Liqueur. 1st night the staff prepared a dish to accommodate my wife's Gluten allergy.

A great restaurant tucked away in a small plaza of Lisbon, Pateo 51 has delicious food that is enhanced by the charming atmosphere and fellow patrons!

Good good, meat and fish and great atmosphere! Could be crowdy so the waiters don’t have much time for personal service but ok

Food was ok. The price was good. Service hektic and not personal. Always had a different waiter.

We honestly didn’t care for the food. It didn’t taste as fresh as expected. The codfish was dry, the partridge a bit tough.

Congenial atmosphere with a mostly local crowd. It was busy and it took a while to be served, but the wine choices were good and the clams very tasty. Nice choices of seafood and fish; overall a good quality Portuguese restaurant.

Mediocre food, and an insulting service attitude. We ordered some belota and were told that they had run out, only to see an hour later a local patron order it, and got it served immediately. Totally inappropriate. Avoid this establishment!

Excellent food & service. All of our choices were tasty. Traditional Portuguese food. Fresh fish in the window. Excellent steak. Extremely pleasant waiter who even let us know we were ordering too much food. Only downside were smokers to right and left of us at outside table. Definitely would go back but would sit inside.

Third visit here and still my favorite repeat restaurant in Lisbon. We had a combo of the Stone Bass and Turbot, both grilled simply and served with vegetables. Exquisite. The ambiance is wonderful the service is super friendly, excellent value for money. Love this place.

Pateo 51 is one of my favorite restaurants in Lisbon. The fish is always fresh and well prepared. The meats are cooked as desired by the customer, and they have one of the best rice puddings (although it is not truly rice pudding) desserts I have had in Portugal. In addition, the food is reasonably priced, and the waiters are experienced in suggesting a wine based on the drinker's desire. Pateo 51 is a must for those visiting Lisbon.

Our original waiter was awful and rude. Fish was not deboned so it made it inedible!

we arrived very underdressed. Consider this very upscale. Food was decent but I think we could have made better choices. excellent wine menu. The best part of the experience was our very kind and attentive server.

This was a very pleasant experience. The bread and various butters were very good. The wine selection was also very good. We started with the octopus salad. It was flavorful and tender. We had the grilled sea bass and the black pork tenderloin. Both entrees were delicious. The service was exceptional and our waiter was extremely helpful and friendly. We highly recommend Pateo 51!

It was a rainy night, we were the first customers, the first waiter brought, 6 items we didn’t order, meat, cheese, toast, even though there was already bread on the table, and olives. Then we ordered our food, we could see the waiters were loudly discussing and looking at our table, it felt extremely uncomfortable. After that a different waiter served the remaining food. He was extremely rude and abrupt. He gave us the bill, which included the 6 items, which was about an additional 30 euro. Then we asked him, he rudely said “you eat you pay, it’s the same all over Portugal “ we paid the bill and left, the worst experience of our entire trip to Portugal. And as we found out , it is not the same all over Portugal “. We eat places and were not charged separately for the bread and olives. The little plate of meat was $16 euros. We felt we were completely taken advantage off. We left feeling extremely distressed.

Very nice service, food fresh prepared. Only reason why 3 and not more stars is that the fresh lobster was cut in pieces when served instead of splitting in two and serving the two parts which makes eating this exclusive's delicacy a through experience.

Pateo 51 is an absolute gem, offering an unforgettable dining experience. The food is nothing short of spectacular—every dish is thoughtfully prepared, bursting with flavor, and beautifully presented. It’s clear the chefs take pride in their craft. The service is another standout feature. The staff is incredibly attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming, making you feel truly valued as a guest. The atmosphere is equally impressive. The room is spacious and comfortable, striking the perfect balance—not overcrowded, yet lively enough to create a warm and inviting vibe. To top it all off, the prices are fair, especially considering the exceptional quality of both the food and service. Pateo 51 is a true diamond in the dining scene. Highly recommended!

This was a great find. We booked well in advance of our visit to Lisbon based on the reviews. Every table was reserved on a Friday evening and it was full of locals. The staff were fantastic and very welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu and really helpful with choices including the wine. The food and wine were great and the bread, cheese, olives and crab dip as appetisers were fab! Strongly recommend this restaurant but book early! Lots of tables full of friends and families and great atmosphere.
