7/10Very disappointing food for a Michelin restaurant- service and ambience were great. My main course was hardly edible. I ordered the fish stew. One of the two pieces of fish was extremely fishy tasting and the octopus was tough and chewy- really bad. The appetizer, wine and dessert were very good.

10/10Very good food and very nice service. The decoration of the restaurant is also very nice with a peaceful atmosphere. This restaurant is very well located in one of the most beautiful place in Lucca. I highly recommend comparing to the other restaurants around.

9.5/10We enjoyed a delightful meal in a very relaxed setting. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Dishes that stood out In particular were the stuffed mussels, red gnocchi with pistachio pesto and the chocolate lava cake with fior di latte gelato

7/10Disappointing meal, definitely not Michelin star level. The menu is creative but the execution disappointing: soggy pastry, not quite hot enough, bland flavours and seasoning. And despite what was advertised on the Fork, there was no sign of a daily menu at 25€ (although I was surprised by a Michelin restaurant offering that). Is their star still valid? The sign at the door said Michelin 2021

All excellent, ftom greeting to food preparation, excellent service, and friendly ambiance. Everything just right. Highly recommend this fine restaurant. While the staff were all very kind, the food completely missed the mark. I am someone who often gets mocked for just how much salt I put on my food. It is *rare* I eat something that is too salty that it borders on inedible. However, the gnocchi I was served tasted like sea water. The dessert was slightly above average and bread serviceable.

6/10I visited the restaurant because if the michelin recomendation they used to have back in 2017. I had filled mussels as antipasti, it was tasty but the flavor of bread dominated the flavor of the mussels. Unfortenatly the raviolo I had where undercooked and the dough was kind of hard to chew - I think that must not happen in such a restaurant. I think its positive that they gave us a five Euro discount but so far I would not recommend the restaurant.

10/10We opted to sit inside and were brought to the lower level cave. We were just friends but could see how romantic a spot this could be. Service was exceptional, fancy but friendly. Beet colored gnocchi! Raw Tuna starter! Duck with lovely fresh veggies-everything very unique.

It was an amazing night of The finest recipies, the finest touches of atention and love for people, food and wine. We were blowing away by The whole experience. 10/10Last dinner in lucca deserved a special occasion and peperosa did not disappoint. We were seated at a beautiful table by the front windows and the service was impeccable from seating to leaving. Overall, the food was delicious. Amuse bouche was provided to settle us into the full experience. Ravioli was tasty and al dente, although not as hot as we expected. Filet mignon with foie gras, black truffle, and red peppercorns was heavenly. While we were too satiated to order dessert, a final complimentary spoonful of chocolate and bit sized cookies were the perfect ending to a truly enjoyable meal.

10/10Without reading reviews, I would have been really suspicious. A restaurant on the main Piazza in Lucca, waiters with bow ties, relatively high prices. This smells like a tourist trap. Well, it wasn’t. We got the best food we had on our trip and an incredibly good value. The experience starts with a well poured glass of free Prosecco, actually a nice one, and a small amuse geule The dishes that followed represented upscale Italian cuisine, a welcome change from the home cooking style trattorias that dominate the dining landscape. Food that not only tasted great, but also looked great. After our meal, with our coffee we got a spoon of soft chocolate and some small cookies. The service was excellent. Prices are very reasonable, especially considering all the free goodies you receive. So all in all highly recommended! All in all The service was excellent.

10/10Lunch was equisite. We all opted for the chef’s composed menu of the day of 2-courses and were all delighted by his selection. Lunch was accompanied by a full-bodied, yet fruity white wine from Elba.

6/10I have been to many Michelin rated restaurants and, to be frank, this was the most disappointing. The fish in the crudo tasted very old and, honestly, flavorless. The amberjack was over cooked to the point of actually being difficult to cut with a knife. Think about that. Fish that is difficult to cut. My wife’s lamb ravioli was good but rather salty. The location is fantastic however. And the service was very nice. But the food was a major letdown. So much so that we went and got pizza right afterward and that was far superior.

9.5/10The dishes were delicious and creative. I'm often disappointed with the quality to price ratio with upscale Italian restaurants, but the food was excellent and well presented. I tried some flavor combinations that were new to me, and I was pleasantly surprised, especially with the Agnolotti alla zucca, which had a sweet licorice-infused butter sauce matched with very strong Parmigiano Reggiano (60 month). I was skeptical because I'm often not a fan of anise-based flavors, but this worked extremely well.
