The food maybe is good and the fish on the shelf appeared fresh. But this is not a restaurant. This place looks like a smelly cheap cafe near the train station. We didn’t dare entering despite having a reservation

A hidden gem! Very non-descript but a glance through the door piqued our interest as we walked past mid-afternoon - a display of gorgeously fresh looking seafood in a canteen style restaurant with space for just ten sit down diners. We decided to return in the evening to try it out for dinner with our 3 children (14/13/10). Wow - exceeded all our expectations. The chefs’ love and pride in their food was evident to see. We had a variety of hot starters (baby octopus/stuffed squid/trio of tartare and the fried calamari) - exceptionally fresh and delicious. Then mixed seafood pasta/shrimp risotto/prawn pasta and grilled sea bream - equally as good. Fresh, hot, devoured by all of us. The grilled fish was particularly excellent, cooked to perfection. Don’t expect a “restaurant” experience - there was some confusion about seating despite the fact we had reserved a table, no particular choice of wine available (but it was very drinkable anyway), all very casual. But this made it all the more authentic as an experience. Throughout our meal, there was a steady stream of locals coming through to pick up an order, which is usually a sure sign success…… Thoroughly recommended.

This little fish restaurant is somewhat of a hole in the wall. Some of their dishes are preprepared for takeout and if you are eating in they will reheat the heated appetizers in the microwave. However, the pastas were all prepared freshly for our order. All three different pastas including 1 noodle, 1 gnocchi, and 1 risotto were delicious. Prices were exceptionally reasonable.

A very fine fish restaurant, Nice selection of wines to go with the meals. Most customers are local people which is always a good sign. Take away is also possible.

Fantastic neighborhood spot with delicious food and lovely service. The cooking technique was really impressive for such a small and reasonably priced place and the seafood was impeccably fresh and delicious. We can’t wait to go back!

They seemed to have no idea we were coming despite booking, so no table ready. They only seem to be able to sear about 10 inside and 14 outside. We waited half an hour to get a table. Orded one spaghetti with clams to share as a starter but they brought my main at the same time which we sent back. Starter was nice but too salty. We had seabass in potatoes and tuna steak for mains, with Spinach and fries. To be fair they were all very nice but the fries turned up when we'd nearly finished, again to be fair they didn't charge us for them. The toilets were disgusting. No toilet paper, no lock on the door and no running water!! Nice food but a poor experience.

Pescetto Fish Bistrot has excellent food, very honest prices and extremely friendly staff. My favorite was the stuffed squid, it was soooooo delicious. Highly recommended place
