Checked out some restos in the tourist area, reviews were a hit or miss and cost not cheap. I asked my accomodation host to reco eateries that locals frequent and that's how I came to know the Fork. Checked highly rated restos outside the tourist area and decided on Pietra. Easy access with public transport, less than a min. walk from the famous Tram 28 stop. I had the Polvo lagareiro. It was wonderful and the Tiramisu, heavenly. Hosts were warm and generous; even offered me to have a taste of Ginja. Good price too!

Octopus was very dry. Others dishes were not so good. Service was ok but slow. Did not meet our standards (family of four with no children).

We’ve gone back 3 more times and I would go back many more. Food is great, the service is excellent and the owners are very kind and attentive.

I am very happy and pleased with my experience. They serve perfect Portuguese food with a twist, the octopus was superb. The only thing that I have to ask to the management is to invest and buy some Portuguese steak knives. As the current cutlery is not good, if you need to cut beef or steaks.

A true gem of Portuguese cuisine! Warm hospitality, authentic atmosphere, and delicious dishes: from the bifinhos do lombo with mustard coffee sauce to the bitoque, along with an excellent frango à parmegiana and an outstanding polvo à lagareiro everything was flavorful and carefully prepared. A genuine experience, full of taste and heart. We highly recommend it!
