We go here 3-4 times a year when we visit Florence. Best quality and variety with outstanding service. Nice balance of meat and fish dishes with significant creativity in each.

Beautiful restaurant with amazing food. From the minute we entered the restaurant we were made to feel special. The food was absolutely delicious and the owners were wonderful. Highly recommend making visiting.

+1We had a lovely dinner at Pietrabianca. The restaurant had a good ambiance, very kind hosts who are pationate about the food they serve. The Chef’s menu was available in Terra e Mare, so we tasted all their meat and seafood, it all was wonderful! Go eat here when you’re in Florence, it is a great experience!

This restaurant was a real find in busy downtown Florence. Located on a quiet square near the Uffizi Gallery it is an undiscovered gem. The food, of Puglian origins, is excellent, the service warm, friendly and very knowledgeable. The chef has a rare international track record and a deft hand in the kitchen. It eschews the traditional tourist fare and has an excellent seafood selection. We enjoyed it so much the first time that we did a repeat for our last evening in Italy. The decor is simple and modern. If you are looking for a very good meal where you can hear yourself speak and savor some extraordinarily creative and felicitous combinations of ingredients be sure to make a reservation and look forward to a wonderful evening. This is a restaurant for people who like good food and creative and subtle cuisine.

I did my research and was really looking forward to going to this restaurant. It did not meet my expectations at all. This was the first weekend in July and our last meal in Italy before boarding a cruise.Ambiance...fair...my seat was looking directly at a florescent lit room in the rear of the main dining room.It looked like a combination storage and spare food prep area...very unattractive for fine dining.Service was poor. Though our waitress was pleasant she didnt know that much about the food.I ordered wine paring with each course and several times I had to ask for the wine after the food was delivered. We had six dishes all a la carte...two were tasty and well presented. The other 4 were creative but very bland and not delicious at all.We left scratching our heads how this restaurant could be highly rated especially in Florence Italy.Big disappointment especially with the prices charged.
PietrabiancaDear mr werk We are sorry that your experience in our restaurant was not to your liking, we have excellent reviews because customers are always satisfied there are very few who are disappointed but because the tastes are subjective But our dishes are prepared through careful study As for the waitress we apologise if her service was not attentive unfortunately it is difficult to find qualified staff and it may be that she was not careful, as far as the coloured lights are concerned they are outside and not inside the room which is elegant and refined and very fine dining they have the open kitchen which is a symptom of cleanliness even very fine dining they have the chef who sometimes cooks in the dining room In the end the problem is always the same as those very few negative reviews given the price The quality of the raw material served is high and the price is in proportion to what we serve and if we allow ourselves to speak in this way it is because we are sure of what we serve of what we buy and of everyt

A wonderful family restaurant with top quality menu and service. They helped us celebrate 3 people in our party who had major milestones this year.

The restaurant is located in a beautiful spot in the historic city center, which makes it an ideal place to enjoy a meal while exploring the area. The atmosphere is very pleasant and inviting, with a lovely and well-designed environment that adds to the overall dining experience. The staff was friendly, attentive, and very helpful in explaining the menu and making sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. As for the food, the dishes were decent and nicely presented, but the flavors were rather simple and didn’t particularly stand out. While the overall quality was good, I would have appreciated something a bit more special or memorable in terms of taste.

Our evening was a spectacular Italian experience. We dined for 3 hours eating dishes that were very differently prepared. The Pigeon was so tender and flavorful. Our Server explained eat dishes. Eat with an open mind as the food is delectable but prepared in ways you probably have never experienced.

The chef is overconfident! Had a seven course meal but pasta was over seasoned, quite salty and then steak was under seasoned. Wine pairing was also bizarre !! Not sure if the food was underwhelming or wine was just mediocre. The oyster dish was the only good dish that we remember!!
Pietrabiancagood morning thank you so much for your review that we actually struggle to understand. if a chef is not confident in the dishes he creates, then he shouldn't even do this type of work. if our dishes didn't meet your tastes, that's fine but last night like you other customers tasted the tasting menu and filled the chef with compliments, which means if out of 16 diners only 2 did not appreciate our cuisine then our work is not so bad. Considering our wine list mediocre or not knowing if the cico or the wine which of the two was mediocre makes me wonder. Our wine list has many famous blends and then small cellars that we look for after careful study, the most suitable and the wines most matched to our cuisine, we try to do our job it is part of this job in the best possible way trying to create everything followed by careful study, many times we succeed sometimes luckily very few times we do not meet the tastes and it is there, but we defend what we do because we believe in it kind regard teresa

Amazing! The couple running the restaurant were wonderful and so welcoming. The food was incredible, we did the 6 course tasting and it didn’t disappoint. Highly recommend!!! This is place is a hidden gem!

The place is very cozy. The waiters are knowledgeable but food definitely needs an improvement. The shrimp risotto was undercooked and shrimps were raw, the octopus was overcooked and very salty. The best part was scallops that were so delicious as well as dessert. The place has all marking of being great, just needs a little more effort. Thanks for a memorable experience!

It was one of the most successful dinners in florence for a week. We were very happy to have fresh seafood , and the Land menu were also excellent. I was proud of choosing R. Pietrabianca to my friends and husband. So, we visited again before leaving Florence. I recommended your place to my friend. She would travel to Florence a few days after. Thanks.

It was an unforgettable experience. We participated in the chef’s recommendation of 7 courses and we were not disappointed. I have to say that this place was phenomenal. My husband, daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed each meal. My daughter and I ordered off the land menu and my husband did the sea. We didn’t know what to expect but we were excited with joyous anticipation. The presentation was elegant for each and every course. The flavors were exceptional. I don’t think that this place has a Michelin Star but it most definitely should. The pictures do not do it justice.

Dinner at the restaurant was chaotic due to the staff's service. We spent 3.5 hours there and had to wait a long time for the dishes to be served. The food itself was of average taste. In summary, the restaurant does not meet the value for money expectations.
Pietrabiancagood evening Mrs. Gitana I would like to respond to your review. our service was not chaotic but as usual prompt and attentive despite the restaurant being completely full. It is true that it took us a little longer than usual to serve you this because the kind guests of that social evening arrived almost all together, but we did everything as usual we know how to do in fact we had appreciations from all the kind guests, as far as food is concerned tastes are subjective it could be that they did not meet your tastes and we are very sorry perhaps I think that you were not willing to appreciate our work, in fact everybody Made compliments for menu for this we thought that we did a good job happy new year

Chef Andrea is fantastic, the hosting is great too. Had the degustation menu with wine pairing. One my best experience during my Italy trip.

+1What an outstanding restaurant!! From the moment entering is was amazing, delicious wine list very reasonable . The menu is gastronomic to every choice. Well presented and unbelievable in flavor. Homemade breads and butter. Had the grouper ceviche and the homemade spaghetti wit sausage and shiitake and truffle cream. The messed dish with Parmesan foam was fabulous as was the orchietto with tomato and ricotta. A 10 + establishment.

Food was excellent, Teresa, husband Nicola and their niece provided perfect service. We got geography lessons - about Puglia, of course - and Teresa talked us out of our (more expensive) wine choice into a couple of beauties. Wonderful everything.

Of all the places we tried for dinner in Florence, this one excelled. Slightly off the beaten track of Via de Neri, it is a fabulous restaurant in terms of quality of food and service. The staff take obvious pride in the quality of the dishes, the whole experience is first class. I would recommend that anyone looking for really high quality cuisine in Florence visits this restaurant.
PietrabiancaHello Thanks for your review It was a great pleasure to meet you We are glad that your experience with us was good We hope you’ll See you again Regards Teresa

Pietrabianca: a true Gem of Florentine Fine Dining Our Lunch at Pietrabianca was nothing short of exceptional, truly showcasing Florentine finest in cuisine, service and ambiance. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of professionalism and warmth. The staff were not only knowledgeable but also exuded genuine kindness and curiosity, making us feel both welcomed and valued. It was nice to learn about the mutual paths our daughters embark on, following medical studies. After seating and the welcome drink we followed the recommendations and opted for the Spumante di Qualitata Pas Dosé from La Casa d'Arapri. This sparkling wine was a perfect companion, maintaining its character from the starters to the final dish. Each course was a masterpiece, not just in taste but in presentation. The dishes were a feast for the eyes, crafted with such attention to detail that they invoked emotional response as well as a gastronomic one. This restaurant is a must-visit! Grazie!

A lovely meal for two. Great service with nice touches of a Prosecco welcome drink, a little taster of homemade focaccias and an assortment of breads, and the savory tortello was excellent.

+1Lovely meal, lots of nice touches and well looked after by the hosts. Thank you!

restaurant was very quiet which surprised us as it was a Friday night. Family owned restaurant, very friendly and attentive. We had the slow cooked fish which was stunning but could have done with some sides. Lots of special touches with amazing home cooked bread.
PietrabiancaGood morning Thanks for your feedback and your appreciation to our work. Our is a fine dining restaurant, behind the construction of an our dish there is a careful study and the side some Times are inside the dish like a particular cream, but if you told us I would have ask to the chef to prepare for you some side. Anyway thanks again and we waiting for you again Love Teresa

We were made to feel most welcome. Really friendly and helpful service. The food was delicious. We plan to go back when we are next in Florence. My sister (who lives in Florence) intends to return too - soon!

We were very disappointed, as it was a New Year`s Eve and we spent more than 3 hours for a 4-course meal, for food that would not invite us back. I presume the cook had a bad evening, not being able to meet the expectations. I understand this kind of restaurant needs to set some unique combinations of flavours, but the end result should ALWAYS be a harmony of tastes, which in the presentations we tasted was mostly not a case. Many dishes had some component that overwhelmed the others: sour tomato soup (that even stracciatella could not neutralize), bitter smoke in salmon, some sausage with entrecote etc. There were some good dishes, like fish tiramisu and tortelli. The desserts were not to be spoken about, nothing tasteful. We got some discount at the end for not being able to provide us with a 7-course menu, luckily, as it turns out… I do not recommend this kind of eating to anyone.

absolutely fantastic from start to finish. outstanding quality of everything we ordered. great place, one of the best in Florence

Wasn’t quite on par with the reviews I read about. Oysters not worth the while-was also supposed to be grilled and when I asked I was told they were only raw. The octopus was good, the veal was rare and tasty but while I was told by the server I am to eat the fat I ran out of veal the ratio of my portion was that good

The food was divine and the service was incredible service. By far our best restaurant In Italy. A nice little birthday welcoming and desert which was such a lovely added touch to making it feel personal . It was our last night in Italy and we are so pleased we chose this to spend it before we go home. Thank you to all the staff and the chef .
