Truly memorable six course tasting menu, including a particularly delicious carbonara, made all the more enjoyable by our charming and knowledgeable waitress Lisa. A very impressive wine list, as befits a Michelin-starred restaurant.

The most incredible thing is the attention by all members of the staff.

Incredible! Food was so good, every bite was a surprise and a delight. Wine pairings were unexpected but excellently went with each course. Stiff price, but well worth it for a special occasion.

All the staff were so welcoming and knowledgable about the menu and wine pairings. Food was excellent and the atmosphere was brilliant. The best restaurant we’ve eaten at in Rome.

My visit to Pipero was nothing short of extraordinary. I chose the 8-course tasting menu, and every dish was a true gastronomic revelation. Two dishes stood out in particular: the incredibly tender liver, prepared with a perfect balance of flavors, and the carbonara pasta. While it might seem like a simple dish, the taste was absolutely sublime – a true masterpiece of Italian cuisine. Every bite was meticulously crafted: the combination of textures, flavors, and aromas showcased the chef’s exceptional skill.

Our recent visit to Pipero, a one Michelin-star restaurant in Rome, was an unfortunate letdown. Despite its prestigious status, the service and attitude fell significantly short of expectations. The experience began on the wrong note. When we waved at the window outside, the staff initially ignored us. After finally opening the door, there was no warm welcome—instead, we were curtly told we should have pressed the bell. This lack of hospitality set an uncomfortable tone for the evening. Throughout the meal, the staff’s demeanor remained disengaged. When introducing the dishes, they lacked passion or enthusiasm, making the dining experience feel transactional rather than special. A particularly disappointing moment came when my wife, who does not eat beef, requested an alternative for the main course. Instead of offering another thoughtfully prepared protein, the restaurant replaced it with a plain pasta—a glaring lack of effort and consideration. As for the food itself, it failed t

Elegant restaurant with great service. Lengthy wine selection. The food was well presented but was saltier for my taste.

The service has been good, especially a lady who explains details for each dish friendly; the taste of the food was ok but just less impressive compare with other restaurants of the same class.

This was the worst Michelin restaurant I’ve ever eaten in. I’m astounded that it is in the guide. To start with the good - great bread, punchy mackerel with pickled cauliflower. The fregola was tasty if a bit salty. The rest of our 6-course meal was slightly sub-standard (bone dry crackers, slightly greasy deep-fried fish), and curiously ranged from over-seasoned (Carbonara) to almost tasteless (dessert). The worst dish was an unpleasant concoction of mussels in a clear chewy dumpling billed as ‘our chef’s interpretation of soup’ . I didn’t eat it and said, when asked, that I didn’t enjoy the dish. Don’t worry’ our waitress said, as to a fussy 3-year-old, ‘at least you tried it’. How this disaster ended up costing €360 is beyond me. We said that the food wasn’t good enough and were ushered out with apologies and a bag allegedly containing a bottle’of the red you had’. Only it wasn’t the Barolo but something cheap they don’t even serve in the restaurant. Adding insult to injury!

Raw clams, raw bits of fish and meat. Cheap wine paring. Stomach ache and nothing more. Avoid!

Beautiful restaurant. The “risotto” course with coconut and clams was amazing same goes for the carbonara! Wine pairing with it was also very nice. The Tempura Amberjack dish, and dessert course were both a little disappointing. The final three course left me and my wife a little underwhelmed. The menu started out super strong but on the mains we felt it fell kinda flat. we always expect the final savory course to really leave a lasting impression about the restaurant, while the beef was cooked beautifully the dish itself left us wanting more to it/something to make it truly stand out from other restaurants. Some awkwardness with service. Pre-poured wine brought to table for snack pairing. a server stopped mid sentence at another guests table while explaining a dish to help us exit the restaurant.

Booked in the morning for degustation 3-course lunch. The food and service was impeccable. High end, great quality cuisine. The carbonara was rich and yellow like sunshine. The tempura fish was unrivalled. The breads were generous and tasty. While the place was quiet and minimalist - the service was warm and cheerful. We love Roma.

Great place and awesome food! We got the secret recipe for the carbonara by solving the rubix cube!

The food was interesting in presentation but average in flavours - the beef fillet was so rare it may have jumped off my plate- they took it away to cook it more as I requested but it came back almost the same and I just couldn’t eat it. The pasta was “too” al dente though the sauce was delicious Altogether I felt it was not the experience we expected and we have eaten in many amazing restaurants ( Michelin * and others) in Europe and this was not one of them

Pipero was nothing short of spectacular. The innovative dishes, particularly the unforgettable pasta carbonara, were a delight. The setting was elegant, matched perfectly by the attentive service. A true gem in Rome's culinary scene, Pipero lived up to its Michelin-star reputation. Can't wait to return!"

This is a fine dining restaurant that certainly delivers on a unique experience. We chose the 8 course meal. The first 3 dishes served were extremely creative in presentation, but they lacked what matters most. Good flavor and taste. The dining experience was saved by the remaining 5 courses. The *cooked meat* courses were spectacular. Overall this was a good experience, the service was excellent and they were extremely accommodating for my wife who is pregnant.

    1. Food is good but definitely not a michelin-star level, especially dessert. But the wine pairing was very good; 2. Service is dreadful - we felt ourselves aliens at this place. At the end of the experience - argue of waitress with my wife because of the tea. Argue with client! 3. ForkPay didn’t work in this place. What a pity:(

As our first Michelin experience, Pipero was great. Everything from the interior, to service, wine choice and dinner menu proposals surpassed our expectations. We had the 6-course tasting menu, which we highly recommend.

The food was great! Very creative, beautifully presented, full of complimentary unusual flavors. Except for the pasta. Both dishes were much too al dente (and yes, we know al dente) and served barely lukewarm. We had the wine pairing which was overall very good but the servings were minuscule. Then we were served a sweet white wine with the carbonara. Seriously? When we asked for it to be replaced with a light red, we were reluctantly accommodated. And the cold-shoulder treatment continued from that waiter till the end… Besides him, the service was impeccable.

The restaurant was almost empty, still the service was slow and not professional. The quality of food was fine but nothing to write home about. I wouldn’t recommend it to friends. The value to money was not good.

I’ve personally been to many Michelin star restaurants. I can tell you that if you’re looking for 3 star service, this is not the place. The service is great but the real star is the food and presentation. So if what you care more about is the food, you should NOT miss this. It’s more memorable than 3 stars I’ve eaten at.

We did the tasting menu at Pipero and each course was unique and was the work of a chef/artist. The meal peaked at the pasta course, and their “famous” carbonara is incredible. What was weird was the service. The restaurant has only a few tables and each table spoke in a hush leading to this very quiet room with no ambient noise (no music or anything). Be prepared that the staff is polite, but very serious and rigid. Overall, we enjoyed the food but our meal at Pipero was one of the most interesting that we have had.
