9/10The food was creative and overall very good, but I've had better. It has the pretense of being a Michelin style chef auteur restaurant, but the flavours just weren't there - at least not on my starters or my main. Otherwise, it was a very pleasurable dining experience. The best was the lime pasta. The sugar coated lime was an interesting palate clearer.

10/10We wanted a good fish dinner and Piro did not disappoint. Service was excellent in that relaxed Italian way. We decided to have the fish of the day for two. Our waiter was super helpful with picking out a wine to complement our main dish. They gave us lots of bread ( three kinds). A violinist strolled down the alley and I gave him 2€ to go away. We were treated to a table side deboning of the fish. The sea bass was tender and delicious served with crispy potatoes. After dinner we had sugared lemon slices. There is nothing quite like the flavor of Italian lemons! For dessert we walked around the corner for gelato but I will tell you about that in another post.

10/10Giuseppe and Staff were fun, accommodating, graceful and exceptional. Food was amazing and environment casually elegant and welcoming. Last night on Rome was the best at Piro.

9.5/10We ate outside a perfectly calm evening. The setting on a narrow Roman street with a charming bookstore across the way. The water was engaging and light hearted. The wine list was quite varied with exceptional Italian choices and also French wines. We had the red prawn tartar and the seared squid for starters and the octopus and bass for our entrees. The food was excellent but the service was better!

10/10A truly wonderful evening and the best meal we had whilst in Rome. The food was magnificent -- we had the fried calamari and tuna tartare to start, then prawn with tagliolini, followed by salmon and the tuna. Finished off with their wonderful take on tiramisu. The ambience was lovely and the lady who served us (sorry, can't remember her name) was fantastic (and spoke perfect English). I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant for a fish meal in Rome

10/10We really loved the atmosphere in the restaurant. We were welcomed by a staff that saw us and made us feel special. My husband is celiac and the staff gave him a special treatment, and didn't make him feel a nuisance. The food was really, really good. We will really recommend this restaurant, and if we come back to Rome again, we will visit this restaurant again.

10/10Great food, excellent and attentive service. We went early at 7:30 and the place was quite empty but filled up by the time we left. Staff was very attentive and helpful. The ambience is great, noise level was low. We had the fish balls for starters and then I had the salmon. Both prepared perfectly. This place is not cheap, but definitely worth a visit.

Everything was exceptional, and the friendliness of the staff even made it a better experience. It is a sister and brother who do an exceptional job with the service and food quality. Don’t miss this restaurant when you are in Rome.

10/10Absolutely stellar food. The Red Prawn off the raw bar was one of the best things I have ever eaten. The Tuna was spectacular as well. Server Emon did a great job and was very helpful. Loved this place.

10/10This place is amazing. Food was delicious and service was great. We ordered oysters, fried squid, grilled octopus, pasta and fried tempura. All came out great!
