We both had Pizza`s which were lovely. Our table was booked for 19:00 and the service at this time was good. About 10 minutes after we arrived the restaurant became very busy as it is obviously a popular venue. From this point the service went downhill. It`s a small place and lots of people were being squeezed in. Customers moving table to accommodate large groups who had not pre-booked and the staff allowed this to happen. There was no organisation from the staff. People being told to wait outside until a table became available, others being told to return in 20 minutes only for their table to be given to other people who arrived after them which resulted in arguments. The front door was constantly left open which meant that dinners were left sitting in the cold while eating as their are tables next to the front door. Chaotic really. Good food, just make sure you book and if you are a large party don`t just turn up expecting a table!!

Pleasant service and friendly staff. Food was good, though not the best we’ve had. Garlic bread starter was nice. Beef croquettes were quite soft on the outside and filling a bit bland. Pizzas in general were good, but Calzone could have been crunchier. Bolognese pasta was quite tasty. All in all, some very nice food on one hand, but some other dishes that could be improved.

Food took over 1 hour to come. half of the food was cold. When I told the server, he replied, that it's not possible, because the food comes fresh from the pen. Also the prices are pretty high.

Booked for 3 adults and child. Waiter was excellent. Food was very good including the gnocchi and calzones and the spaghetti in tomato sauce which wasn’t on the menu.

Prices were different in the app and at the restaurant. Also they charged drinks more expensive than they said bcs it was not in the menu. Food was good. Love, Ali

We have been in Portugal for 14 days and enjoying the authentic Portuguese food, but day 14 we were ready for something different. The pasta was fresh and the flavor was amazing! Totally what we needed. Get the garlic bread it’s like cheesy garlic bread. Carbonara was creamy and one of the best my husband had. I had the arribatta and it was pleasantly spicy! Highly recommend.

We wanted a break from portuguese food so we chose italian and this place had great reviews. It's very popular and I definitely recommend a reservation. I felt like the food was below average but maybe it is at or above average for italian food in Portugal? The caesar salad was not what we expected... The pasta was good. Margherita pizza was just ok. If I was served this food in the US, I would have been very upset but it satisfied our italian craving. Staff was very friendly.

The food was ok. A lot of ‘off the shelf’ ingredients rather than freshly made. For example, I think the pesto was bought in rather than made in the restaurant.

We were given the worst table in the restaurant, despite having a reservation. Right by the front door. Diners would come in and out and leave the door open, leaving cold air rushing in. Our order was taken after 10 minutes. Our appetizers didn’t show up until half an hour later. At no time while we were waiting were we acknowledged. My wife ordered still water for €2.50. It was 500 ml. I ordered sparkling water. It was €2.85, for 250 ml, a ridiculously small bottle to accompany dinner. The sizes were not listed on the menu. Our appetizers were the beef carpaccio with pesto and garlic bread with mozzarella cheese. Both were good. We both had pasta dishes for our entrees. The portions were small but tasty. After we finished dinner, the waiter asked about dessert. We asked to see the dessert menu. He disappeared. We had to flag the server to see it. What we ordered from the chalk board menu, we were told 5 minutes later they were out of. We asked for the check. Here’s where things got bad. I tapped my credit card on the terminal and the server immediately took it from me. She turned away and then handed me the receipt. She had chosen without permission to convert the euro charge to dollars, with a 4% additional charge. I asked the for the waiter and he made excuses and offered me €5 for the extra fee. I took his offer and left. They seem to have made a business decision to rip people off and make up for it if caught. We told people waiting outside that it was not worth it. They left to find a better restaurant.

We enjoyed dining at Pizzaria Tapas La Famiglia, specifically looking for a casual place with pasta and pizza. Fantastic service from two gentlemen, who were ready with recommendations. The garlic cheese bread was an amazing appetizer along with beef croquettes. The four croquettes were served atop a drizzle of what tasted like a garlic aioli. Spicy pepperoni pizza hit the spot. "Caesar" salad was more of a balsamic dressing, but still good with fresh dark leafy greens.

My wife and I had a lovely meal here. The staff were very friendly and the food was excellent. I had a pizza, which was full of flavour and well prepared, and my wife had the Carbonara which she enjoyed a lot. We also shared a Cesar salad which was very good. We will definitely return!
