A small and cozy restaurant right in the heart of Amsterdam. The food was excellent, and the service was just as good. We were even pleasantly surprised with a limoncello and Tiramisu to share at the end, which was a lovely touch. The only slight downside was that a few local guests were quite noisy.

Absolutely amazing to be back at Ponte Arcari. Thank you Alex for taking such good care of us and creating lasting memories. We'll be back soon.

Excellent food. Nice atmosphere in small busy restaurant. Service a bit slow and chaotic but we were not in a rush so it was all part of the fun and the wine was very nice whilst waiting! Only 2 serving on but both good humoured and so it was a very pleasant evening indeed on Thursday 3rd July.

The food was outstanding and we loved the ambience. Cute very small place. Great location. Staff was friendly but unfortunately it seemed like there was a shortage of staff and our service was average. Still worth a visit.

The owner is always very happy and makes jokes with customers. The food quality and preparation is at upmost level. Wine is Ok but could offer a few better bottles. Small place but very ITALIAN....If you understand what I mean.

Ponte Arcari was so great, we came back the next night! Sammy is very hospitable and entertaining! Loved the pasta, bread, wine choices and other food we had. We highly recommend Ponte Arcari as an authentic Italian experience in Amsterdam!

I got there actually before/as it was opening and so the lovely waiter/front of house man put me in The Most Excellent Seat for watching live go by. It's a lovely wee place with about 22 covers indoors and a few tables outside and canalside. The food was OUTSTANDING! The best Italian food I have had outside Italy as well as the best I have had in a long, long time. The only drawback -- and it's small in the grand scheme of things -- is said waiter is just this side of uttery chaotic, Except for good, nothing came at first, second and sometimes more asking. Like water and wine. However, small beer for such an amazing meal, in such a convivial place and an utterly gorgeous day. I will certainly go back.

Cosy small restaurant with lovely atmosphere . Food was good for Amsterdam . My chosen dish ( the daily special- ravioli) was seen coming out of a packet . Not the best pasta I have tasted but overall the meal was good. Were not made to feel overly welcome to start , but this improved.

Came here with my mom for our first night in Amsterdam and we had a great time. We ordered a bunch of food to share including a mixed antipasto plate. It was so yummy! They had generous portions, tasty wine, and a waiter who was friendly and a jokester in the most fun way! The only downside was it was a little chilly inside and I probably should have kept my jacket on during our meal which would not have been comfortable. Still, the best Italian food I’ve had outside of Italy.

My husband and I are from Canada and travel through Amsterdam for business. About 20 some odd years ago, we stumbled onto Ponte Acari and have been going back ever since. We love it all from the ambiance to the service with a personal touch. The food is always made with thought and it shows through in the taste!! Over the years, we have sent many family members and friends there when they are in town. This is not a restaurant, this is a local gathering place where friends and families come to meet and enjoy, and where visitors come to meet new friends!! My husband and I will be back in May!

The restaurant is small but very cozy and warm. The staff was extremely friendly , accommodating . The staff explained and described the food in details and gave outstanding recommendations.

The food I eat Italian food in Italy all the time this was slacking not very good. I don’t know how it got over four stars for a rating. I will not go back there to eat.

This wonderful small Italian restaurant is located on the corner of two canals, and the owners always treat you like a special guest. I came here once in a while in the last 30 years since I was a student and took my father, mother and aunt here. The menu is affordable and always good! Yesterday I took my brother and husband and had a great dinner once again, after which we were treated for a limoncello and fantastic tiramisu! Thank you for all the great memories! ❤️

Awful experience. I have booked a table in advance over the app. First the waitress took > 15 min to consult and decide where I can seat. Then, when the table had been finally assigned, I have not got any service: menu, empty plates etc. - was completely ignored as I have booked for 1 person. In the end: on my request to close the window next to me, I have been refused. Obviously to be obliged to leave. Never again and not recommended!
