We have been going to Por Do Sol for over 20 years! We always visit when in Alvor. Great food, always consistent, super staff, friendly, helpful and fun! The ambience is relaxed and warm. Would recommend to anyone, just go. You won't be disappointed.

We were looking for somewhere special to celebrate our last night in Portugal. We couldn’t have chosen a better place! The food was amazing and the service impeccable. The servers were very friendly and attentive. It is becoming rare these days, but certain dishes are prepared at the table side. The dessert of flambéed strawberries were not only delicious, but also entertaining! Highly recommended!!

We have been going to this restaurant when on holiday for the last 20 years. Always had a lovely meal with excellent service. Very friendly, a great atmosphere. Well recommended.

Fabulous place. Have eaten many times here and never fails to impress. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. Staff are very attentive and pleasant.

The staff were fantastic. Walking into the restaurant, feeling the heat from the fireplace and smelling the flames was most enjoyable. The food was terrific, cooked to perfection. The Portuguese atmosphere was the best. We look forward to returning with our family very soon.

Great food. Great Service. The little extra touches make a massive difference. walking people their taxi's with umbrellas when it's raining. isn't an issue for the staff but it's special for customers.

Friendly staff always make you feel welcome. The menu caters for all tastes and the quality is outstanding. I recommend the monkfish. The Por do Sol is a high class restaurant but at reasonable prices. It was recommended to me 35 years ago by Emlyn Hughes, former Liverpool and England captain whose picture you will find in the bar area. You will not be disappointed.

Lovely welcome. Disappointing red wine even though paid for superior. Good value omelette and chips, cheese bland. Some of the duck was undercooked, the sauce was gloopy, the vegetables didnt go well with the duck and although well cooked were tasteless.

Fantastic place to spend your evening, the rack of lamb chops are stunning. Staff are fantastic, warm, interact and welcoming. fabulous venue all round 👌

A wonderful 5 star dining experience in Alvor. Everything was perfect from the ambience, menu options, affordable prices, courtesy and professionalism of the wait staff and the wonderful flavors of the food and its presentation. Will not hesitate to return.

We took friends who are over from the UK on Friday evening and had a fabulous meal. They both had Fish soup to start and my Husband and I shared the smoked salmon which was delicious. We had melt in your mouth Chateaubriand and selection of vegetables, our friends had Fillet Steak and the Monkfish which they both enjoyed. We had very nice wine, but were too full for dessert. We have more friends coming in November and will be returning
