Overrated and Disappointing We came to the Porter Bistro restaurant based on its 4.8 rating — no idea how it earned it. Out of four dishes, not one was worth ordering again. The “Onion soup” was a pale, soggy bread-and-onion mash, nothing like the traditional version. The meat “Sirloin steak with sautéed vegetables, pumpkin purée and meat sauce” was tough, flavorless, and served with bland sides and watery gravy. Even the most expensive fish “Sautéed grouper with foie gras and vegetable broth” was let down by the same boring accompaniments. The tiramisù, allegedly their most popular dessert, was assembled at our table and served immediately — skipping the crucial step of chilling. The result? Crunchy ladyfingers swimming in cream. An insult to Italian cuisine. Bland food, poor execution, and absolutely not worth the hype and price.

9/10What an excellent staff, this really felt like having a cuisinary companion throughout the evening! We selected our dinner and drinks choices based on the recommendations of the two waiters and were fully pleased with their preferences. There were also enough vegan options to choose from and aside from little exceptions the dishes were excellent. Wine and cocktails were of memorable measurements and we spent a wonderful evening together. Out of so many different restaurants to choose from, we are glad we went for Porter Bistro!

10/10The food was excellent, maybe a little more expensive than the average but the quality was great. Definitely has the air of a very expensive restaurant but the prices are ok. The service was friendly and efficient.

9/10The food was delicious and the service very good. To start I had the Asparagus with Poached Egg, Parmesan Cheese and Toasted Almonds. This was a great combination. For my main course I had the Grouper with Foie Gras, Sautéed Vegetables and Vegetable Broth. The Grouper was cooked to perfection with a wonderful char grilled skin and the balance of the foie gras and fish was superb. The service was excellent ~ attentive but not intrusive.

10/10The restuarant staff made us feel properly welcome and at ease straight away. We hate it when everything is over formal. The front of house guys were professional, knowledgable and most of all, "human". Humour and measuring the customer is critical and these guys were on the money. Well done. Food. We went here because of the good reviews. My, my, my, everything we drank and ate was on the money. An excellent experience. This is not a "wheel em, wheel em out" tourist trap kind of place. Your satisfaction with everything seems to be a requirement, not just a "nice to have". I'm fairly sure if there was something wrong it would be put right in double quick time..... However, as there was absolutely nothing wrong with any of our meal, this wasn't an issue for us. 10/10. Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. A lovely treat. Enjoy. P.S. .......going back on Wednesdsay.

9/10Great service, ambience and good quality/good value food. I loved that there were three soup starters for me to choose from as a vegetarian. From two veggie main courses, I chose the gratin (rather than a risotto, which I'm sure would have been nice). The concept and portion size were good but I found it rather bland. Wine, cocktails and desserts were very good quality and my carnivorous friends were content with their experience. Most exceptional was the service – it was clear that our hosts wanted us to have a wonderful evening.

+1We dine here every time we visit Lisbon. The quality of the seafood and the plate presentation is superb. Order the tiramisu to be prepared at your table! The staff is well-trained and very personable.

9.5/10We came in, family of four, 7 PM. The restaurant was not busy at this time, The menu is simple but the food was outstanding, we had both meat and fish courses. The waiter’s wine recommendation was perfect, local sauvignon blanch. The service was very pleasant, always there at request, but never overdoing. The coffee and desserts were very enjoyable. The distance between tables gives a good privacy and the indoor decor is subtle and pleasing. We are vert likely t.d revisit this resturant.
