Had to try a second time and still a 10 out of 10. Daniela, the owner is such a great conversationalist as you dine. Lovely woman. As it turned out, it was the last evening for the restaurant to be open as they closed for the winter season for a few months. Menu was limited and yet that’s not any issue for the Chef. The chef has been on staff for 10 years I believe. Wonderful preparations and beautiful presentation’s. The pene pasta with shrimp in a zucchini sauce was delicious, pasta with sea urchin was spectacular and the seared tuna in a pistachio crust and pesto, with a tataki drizzle can only be described as WOW.

10 out of 10. Service was wonderful by different staff members and had a lovely table for two outside. Without a doubt the meal was one to go down into the memory. Spectacular meal selection to make the choices challenging. Stared with a fresh salad with plenty of shelled shrimp, avocado and generous heavy shavings of parmigiana cheese. Lightly dressed. The pasta with sea urchin was fantastic and equally delicious was the tuna in a pistachio crust/pesto and so lightly was a drizzle of a semi sweet “bbq” sauce that added another layer of extra flavor. WOW so decadent. Going back to try out other things on the menu tomorrow 😋😋👏👏👏

Great setting on the port. Very attentive service, and if there is a better fish restaurant in Ischia Porto I would be very pleasantly surprised!

Service was great from the time we were seated until we left the restaurant. Food was good but not great. Restaurant was a too brightly lit. Being able to dim the lights would improve the ambiance.

What a lovely evening! The food was fantastic, especially the seafood ragu and the tuna coated in pistachio. The staff, as were lovely and accommodating and truly gave us the true ischiatano experience! Would highly recomend!

The shrimp avocado salad was generous and yummy. It would make a complete lunch. We also had the bream, it was prepared perfectly. The Staff was friendly and attentive. Prices were reasonable. Tables were close together but with good food and wine who cares. It is the place to go!

Always made welcome by the Managers and staff. food is amazing and great value. cancelled our other booking and are coming back here -why not when it so good.

The pistachio-crusted tuna was super tasty, and the desserts were great too. The service was quick and everyone was friendly. Would definitely come back!

Yes… we’re back again - at this point, we’re starting to wonder if we should just get our own table permanently reserved at Portobello Restaurant in Ischia! 😄 Once again, everything was absolutely perfect. The food continues to impress with its incredible flavor, freshness, and presentation. The setting is beautiful and relaxing - a true slice of paradise. And of course, the highlight was being served by Daniela once more. She is simply exceptional- friendly, attentive, and always with a smile. Daniela truly makes us feel like part of the Portobello family, and we couldn’t be more grateful. Huge thanks to her and to the entire team for making every visit so special. We’ll keep coming back… you’ve officially spoiled us!

We had an absolutely wonderful dining experience at Portobello Restaurant in Ischia! The food was exceptional — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with stunning views that made the evening even more special. A huge thank you to our server, Daniela, who made our visit truly memorable. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations and making us feel genuinely cared for. Her service added a personal touch that elevated the whole experience. Highly recommend this gem if you’re visiting Ischia - we’ll definitely be coming back!

Portobello was a great experience. We were greeted warmly and sat promptly. Our waiter asked us about water immediately and within just a few minutes after we received our wine list and menus the owner/waiter came to ask us if we were ready to order. We appreciated the prompt service. We knew we were eating seafood, which by the way was delicious, and he recommended a bottle of wine, which paired well with it. This little restaurant is right on the waterfront so seafood was a natural option although we did have one pasta dish with for chen mushrooms, which was delicious. This is definitely a restaurant I would go back to.

We visited them twice!!!! Everything was excellent! The food was delicious, specially pasta with lobster. Very friendly stuff, and great view from the place! One of the best restaurants in the Ireland.

So nice we visited again. The food was very tasty, good size portions too. The service is very attentive and friendly. Has a very nice ambience and a lovely view. Daniella remembered us, that was really a nice touch

Both the Food and Service was outstanding. The restaurant is in the heart of the port and looks over the harbour which is beautiful in the evening. The quality of the food is excellent and the portion size is very generous. Highly recommend to anybody visiting or living in Ischia - 5 Star 🌟

Nice and charming restaurant, right on the port of Ischia. Food was ok but nothing spectacular. Unfortunately the service was rather poor, we could feel the end of the season tiredness among the serving staff which is fair in one way but not really pleasant for guests.

quality of the food is excellent, portions are huge...the location is also cute, being located on the promenade overlooking the cute port of Ischia... I would recommend it blindly.

The owners and staff are friendly and attentive- food is as always plentiful and great. Things a go to restaurant for us when we and friends visit Ischia. Highly recommend it.

It was the first time and it was perfect! Lobster linguine was delicious, also fresh fish and a very good vine. Staff was also very welcoming, helpful and professional. Loved it !

Went along with high expectations and looking forward to a quality meal, sadly we were disappointed with just about everything and the evening took a bad turn when they realised we’d booked via a Fork offer of 33% off. All of a sudden certain things we’d been offered from the ala’carte menu weren’t available (we were offered turbot which when we ordered was told it was unavailable only to see another table be recommended it 10 min later!) when the bill came we’d been over charged for alcoholic drinks which we didn’t order or receive and told the deserts were not eligible for discount?! Very embarrassing and not wanting to cause a scene and ruin our day we paid up and moved on. We believe we were overcharged circa €20! Overall the food we were served was very average and not good value even on the promo price and sadly was the worst experience we’ve had during our stay in Ischia. It has also put us off using the FORK Ap to book restaurants in the future despite previous good experiences

Being considered a fish and seafood restaurant, in my opinion it's either hyper or we had bad luck. I expected some quality. I've eaten octopus on many occasions but this time it felt overcooked and lacking taste and texture. I also had a pistachio coated Tuna steak that was again slightly overcooked and served on iceberg lettuce (why?). My partner was more lucky with his seafood pasta, which was really delicious. Given the end of season they were probably understaffed; we've been waiting for very long times whilst other parties that arrived after us were already served food. had to check the bill twice and the waiter was nice to correct our bottle price and apply the discount after pointing it out. glad we had the Fork discount, otherwise it'd have felt way too expensive compared to what we got.
