Everything was exceptional from the beginning to the end- friendly English spoken stuff members, the atmosphere, the food. We really enjoyed our experience there. The best dinner we had in Portugal so far . Thank you everyone for the memorable dinner .

We were looking for an authentic Portuguese meal, and that is exactly what we got here. Food was amazing, service was great, prices were reasonable. We had the fish cataplana for 2, the Portuguese steak and the pork tenderloin with mushrooms, all of the dishes were delicious. Would definitely recommend.

Food and service are excellent and prices are very reasonable. We had a lunch and a dinner here. It's away from the tourist area and many local people eat here. Lots of choice too and very warm atmosphere.

This was our favorite meal in Lagos. We were greeted with friendly faces and warmth. Our food was absolutely delicious! We started with red wine, the anchovies in olive oil and garlic, house baked bread and then shared the fish Cataplana. This was not about new age or modern food, but good, classic preparation with high quality ingredients. We finished off with espresso and cheesecake. I wasn't sure which dessert to choose, so the owner escorted me back to view all of them and make a selection. Very kind and hospitable. Definitely recommend.

Food was tasty and well presented as always. We both had the pork & prawn skewers which were excellent, then a couple of very nice desserts from the display cabinet which the waiter took time out to explain and recommend for us. All in all a great dining experience at very reasonable prices. We paid €52 for a small sharing starter, mains, desserts and two drinks each. It's a little bit out of the centre but well worth the effort.

The food here is amazing! The seafood rice on Sunday's are worth the wait all week. Book a table. Eating lunch on a weekday is also a treat- the daily specials are flavourful and so filling. Put it on your list!

The service was awful. The man who served us seemed annoyed we had turned up, was unhelpful and unwelcoming. The quality of the food was appalling. Reheated glop is the best description. It was such a disappointment. My husband's meal was barely edible, and the presentation of the food was similar to how my teenage son might prepare and present a meal. Shockingly bad

we came last year. last night was even better we had appatiser s to start then stone bass it was huge delicious and lovely cooked new potatoes and veg all very fresh. nice bottle wine pudding and coffees. when we arrived the lovely lady told me there was a flower 🌹 on the table for me absolutely amazing local family restaurant x

Really nice food and a great buzzy atmosphere. Restaurant was full of locals in big groups having a lovely time. It all added to the family feel of the place. Very good value too for the quality of the food. We’ll definitely be back when next in Lagos

Typical Portuguese menu, very varied and extensive. The cataplana for 1 person is very good, laden with 4 different fish and prawns and clams. Portions are very generous and prices very reasonable. Would highly recommend a visit for lunch. Booking very advisable.

The garlic shrimp starter was spectacular. The seafood rice (only on Sundays) made my husband’s Father’s Day extra special. We took the only reservation left online, which was 9:30 - seemed like the staff were more than ready to go home by then, so I’m glad we showed up a little early. They were gracious even though it was a late hour.

Really good food and service! We sat on the back patio and enjoyed watching the turtles in the pond. Prices are very reasonable too. We planned to return before leaving Lagos but they are not open for dinner on Mondays or Tuesdays.

Good community restaurant making quality Grandma’s Portuguese cuisine. Staff were helpful and patient in explaining the menu. The menu of the day& Deserts are in Portuguese but the staff helpfully translated and explained them for us.

As always this family operated restaurant is welcoming , they have a number of different dishes of the day and a massive stand Add menu of traditional português dishes . The name mean a” full plate “ and they live up to this and you never leave hungry

Found this on The Fork. Great little neighborhood restaurant. Shrimp and pork Cataplana excellent. Grilled sea bass moist, tender and plentiful . Half carafe of red for 5E, can’t get a glass at home for less than $12. Desserts killer. Service friendly & helpful. Will return asap.
