Excellent little bistro just a bit off the beaten path, with a very charming cozy dining area. Great selection of classic Portuguese dishes, nicely prepared and served by a friendly staff who really take care of customers, especially those not familiar with the cuisine

A short menu of Portuguese classics with a modern twist. Very well presented -- we found them delicious. A good recommendation for wine from the waiter. The dining area is small but doesn't feel crowded. Decorated with half corks and wine box lids.

Fresh, delicious food in a very pleasant atmosphere, very calm and soothing. Excellent attentive service, well curated Portuguese wine list with almost all available by the glass and very good recommendations for wine pairing. The menu is not huge but suitable for meat eaters and vegetarians alike! Prices are very fair. This was our second time at Raizes and we will definitely be back.

The only thing wrong is that this incredible restaurant is not in New Jersey, where we are from. If it was, this would be our go to spot! The duck croquettes, potto wrapped shrimp, sausage and cheese plate and pork chops were simply divine! Great service and even met wonderful people. LOVE IT!

This was a return visit after last year and we enjoyed the ambience and pleasant service. There was a small but really interesting set of choices for each course, and wine selection and prices were excellent. Food was all tasty, though the steak, one of the mains, was on the tough side albeit tasting good. In its sauce, The almond cake with pistachio ice cream was really memorable !

Having dinner here felt like being in the dining room of dear friends, who wanted to make us a heartfelt, home-cooked meal. The food was delicious and a few of the traditional Portuguese dishes had a unique spin that made it extra special. Service was warm, tentative & inviting. Highly recommend you check this wonderful restaurant out for a memorable experience.

The food here was ok; very basic and not high quality. The salad was supposed to have figs and nuts and I could Barely find them in the salad. The lamb chops were ok; thin cut, tough and overcooked.

We where dissapointed, serviece was rushed & not friendly, snooty. Server/ Owner was friendlier to other guests, forgot our 30 th aniversary, till the very end. I can not recommend this place, the food, was nothing special or creativ at all.

This little restaurant was a great find near our hotel. We were made very welcome and the quality if food was excellent. Not many people there on our night as it was a public holiday. Air conditioned.

The food was outstanding. However, the wait staff made the atmosphere feel very hectic - rushing between tables and rooms. We decided not to stay for desert as it felt like they wanted us out.
