6.5/10Having been to Rangoli many times, this recent visit was a disappointment. The food was as good, but the service was really poor. 2 of the 3 staff were truly incompetent and unhelpful, forgetting orders, not understanding basic requests (no possible language issue on our side as we speak spanish and english fluently). Restaurant was full on a monday night which is nice to see, but, considering the welcome and treatment we received in this recent visit, we would hesitate to come back

10/10After several nights of Spanish tapas, we were in the mood for something different and found Rangoon to be a very highly rated restaurant near our hotel. We were craving some good Indian food and were not disappointed. We were immediately charmed by the quaint restaurant upon entering, and were quickly seated and served. The food was outstanding. So good, we ate more than we should have and left quite full and satisfied. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone staying in Madrid.

4.5/10Although the location was ideal, and the service was excellent, I was disappointed with the quality of the food. The Tandoori chicken lacked freshness, and the Chicken Karahi was excessively spicy despite requesting medium heat. On the positive side, the Naan was freshly made. If the restaurant improves the food quality by replacing the current chef, it has the potential to earn a five-star rating. However, due to the mediocre food experience, I can only give it three stars.

10/10The restaurant has beautiful, modern decor to start with. The food is fantastic. I had appetizers and a main dish with rice and a real treat of Peshwari Naan. Everything was flavourful and delicious. The Ribera I had as a drink was very good.

6/10The restaurant is really nice, with lot of spaces, however, if the place is full, it can be congested, with tables very close to each other and thus loud and not cozy at all. Due to this reason we had to switch between 2-3 tables before feeling comfortable after a long tiring day of sightseeing. However, this seems to have irked the staff and while they were not rude per se, but we received bad vibes and not so happy faces, which was definitely not called for, especially in a fine dine restaurant serving indian food. the food was okay, good for european standards, but if you are an Indian expecting good Indian taste, you might not be very happy with the style of the Bangladeshi chef and staff. Asking for extra spicy basically means putting some red chilly powder. The Naan were bland and dry and when we asked our crispy tandoori rotis to be changed to normal one, they were again not happy and brought us rather super thick rotis later. We still thank the staff for giving us the promised discount from the Fork, even though we did not meet the not specified rule of 4 PRINCIPAL dishes to be necessarily ordered for availing the discount, but still, it was not a great experience overall, especially with the pricing. The ambience is really nice though, but thats probably due to the good taste of the Spanish owner of the restaurant!

5.5/10This is first time in 3 years had this kind of experience at one of our favourite restaurants.. being almost empty service was dead slow .. breads came almost 10 mnts after the food .. server was arguing about cold food ( desert) we asked it’s normally hot and he was like it’s the way it’s Eated .. only good thing was server ( Nazrul) who was trying to cover his Co worker’s attitude and mistakes and he was very polite if we go back it will be only for Nazrul

10/10All our dishes were delightful and the service eager to please. We ordered the trio of appetizers, chicken jalfressi, lamb masala & palak paneer with 2 breads. There was some leftovers when shared by 3 people because of the generous appetizer platter otherwise would have been just enough.

9/10Restaurant was very well decorated, and the menu was simple and interesting. I picked a lamb roghanjosh. They came out with papadam, and the chutneys were all tasty, though a bit too sweet in general. The curry and naan were presented beautifully, and the naan was delicious. The lamb was incredibly tender and flavorful. However, I wish the curry itself was a bit stronger in flavor. Perhaps I didn't pick the strongest dish. While it was good, it tasted like a lot of other curries i've had in the past. I would come back here and try other curries and perhaps request something more vibrant and spicy.

7.5/10Service was very slow- took 10 mins or so before we were acknowledge by a server after being seated and dinner took almost 40 mins to arrive after the order. Paying for rice seemed a little excessive. Food was very good.

10/10So happy I chose this place for dinner! Once you’ve eaten here you’ll understand why the reviews are so high. Best Indian food I’ve had so far. The waiters were so polite and attentive, and the place also looks very nice!
