The service was excellent and the food delicious. I went for three tapas plates and I’d recommend all of them. I had the scallops with a mango-papaya chutney which was a wonderful pairing and then had the cod which was cooked to perfection. I also had the lamb terrine which was served with mint yogurt and cucumber harissa - again a wonderful combination. To finish I had the Parmesan and Manchego Flan which was a delicious and not too sweet cheesecake like texture. Throughout my meal the service was excellent - attentive but not intrusive.

After almost 2 weeks in Portugal and Spain, my husband and I found Rao to be THE best restaurant on our trip! The service is phenomenal, the atmosphere is cozy and intimate. We tried the tomato bread, sea bass ceviche, duck breast, lamb, pork cheeks and the paella. Everything was delicious and so incredibly fresh! Recommend this local establishment 100%!!

I went to RAO 4 years ago and was very impressed with the food an service at the time. Went to RAO again last night and are very impressed again with food & service and surroundings. We felt very welcome and waiters was looking really well after us. I can only give me highest recommendation.

The food is classic Catalonian with a slight twist. All very delicious. I can't recommend the pork cheeks enough. They were fantastic! The service was top notch, the best I've had in the city. highly recommend!

The Ceviche was one of the best I ever had. Paella needed some work. Staff/Owner were exceptional. Love the singer sewing tables & decor overall. Nice touch of a complimentary cocktail at the bar next door. Really good , wish I could recreate the recipe for that drink.

The service and food were outstanding. This was our last dinner in Barcelona on our family vacation (8 people) and we had such a great time. We also had many food allergies in our group that they accommodated extremely well. We loved the whole experience!! Juan was amazing!
