Dear Sir, I understand that you didn't like the food, ok, but not a 4, maybe you exaggerated a bit and it's too far from everything that over 2000 people write about our food, but life is made of tastes and I accept it, giving a 6 to the atmosphere in my restaurant I think you should go and dig, it suits you better. Or better, maybe it's better that you frequent more dives than restaurants. I write this with great bitterness also because, as I said before, I accept the vote on the wine and personal taste, but on the vote for the atmosphere in a historic 18th century restaurant that everyone admires, I think yours was just a review to belittle and defame my restaurant. Go and ……

+1Absolutely gorgeous setting with amazing food. We loved it so much that we went twice in 5 days. The ravioli with shellfish ragu was out of this world! Fabulous restaurant with delicious food, perfectly chilled wine and wonderful service. Highly recommend!

6.5/10Very nice restaurant, the ambience was excellent and the food outstanding! Just quite a disappointment regarding the service… the main server was never smiling and kind of looking down to us. The toilets where dirty and we had to ask 3 times before they cleaned them, we where unable to use them for a long time since they where dirty. After only one hour and a half, while we where in our main course, they started cleaning the whole restaurant around us, we felt rushed and left before ordering dessert. If you don’t want to work until late don’t take reservations at 9pm… such a shame because the food and ambience is so good. If only the service could get a little better. The only nice server was the one bringing the plates and explaining them, the rest of them looked bothered by our presence. Not a good experience at all.

7/10Such a well-regarded restaurant should not have any kitchen mistakes. Yet, my wife’s oven-baked branzino was overcooked and dry. Service staff was excellent, particularly head waiter. Ambience was great

6/10Lovely ambience and very good food. However extremely expensive. They also have very slow wine service but above all they charged us 80 euro for the bottle of wine we chose, which on the menu cost 50 euro. They however immediately accepted it was a mistake, but we had to point it out. A pity as otherwise a lovely place.

6/10I was surprised this was on the Michelin Guide. The flavors are very strong, very rich. Extreme butter & fish in one dish, large portions which made the tasting menu challenging. Compared to other Michelin recommended spots, the service & ambiance were perfect. However the food was too strong and not balanced. I like seafood a lot, but this tasting menu was just tooo much. Don’t recommend.

9.5/10What a stunning location in the plaza! The food was delicious! The steak so tender and sauce perfect! Most amazing was the dessert, so creative and all unique tastes. Mt Etna panacotta, with orange gel lava, chocolate cookie crumble lava, peach gelato!! So fun, so yummy!

10/10I tried the six course tasting with with wine pairings. It was exquisite and for 135 Euros excellent value. The service was exceptional. It’s unfortunate I live so far away.

9/10The location was on a beautiful square. Designer chairs and tables making it very chic evening. The service was a little impersonal which took me by surprise. I would of expected more personal attention and explanation to enhance the experience that usually comes with this class of restaurant. At least the food was good.

9/10Probably the best prepared octopus that I have ever had. The house made mixed seafood ravioli is amazing. Service was good but a bit stressed during our visit by a party of 30 next to us. Probably an unfair test. Next visit I would avoid the wine pairings and just get a bottle. Nice local wines but generous pourings only by a Mormon standard.

+5Such a romantic dinner to celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary! We both got the Regina Lucia tasting mena and every single course was delicious! The ambience could not have been more perfect with the piazza del duomo in your background and wonderful live music to serenade you!

9.5/10The setting is magical in Piazza Duomo. The service was prompt and our choice of the 5 course degustation excellent. We had a wonderful evening - only marks off were for the cats hunting for food and the smell from their "left overs" that occasionally wafted in. But we do recommend Regina Lucia for a romantic dinner out.

7.5/10This restaurant has the most magical setting. You can sit outside in the most gorgeous piazza. People watching from here is great. The restaurant is in the corner of the piazza so people don’t walk directly past your table! The view of the historic cathedral and associated buildings makes you feel so calm. We had the 7 course tasting menu. The food was OK but for us a bit dull. We were expecting to be as blown away by the food as we were the surroundings. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case. That said it was a nice evening and added to the enjoyment of our holiday. We tried 3 of the 4 Michelin recommended restaurants in Ortigia. For us this one came 3rd behind Don Camillo and Porta Marina De Salvo.

We ordered a set menu of 4 dishes and all were “surprise” dishes made by the chef. All were amazingly done! Superb meal with a great view and excellent service.

10/10We booked a table quite last minute for a birthday dinner and was lucky to get an outside table with an amazing view. Don’t think we would be able to if it was because of the corona. We ordered a 7 courses tasting menu and it was one of the best food we have ever had. We actually ended to having 9 dishes in the end. The service is quite attentive. The view that you enjoy the meal with is just amazing as you are looking towards the whole beautiful plaza. Highly recommend.
