10/10I enjoyed the food especially the foie gras which our server, Marina, put in a request to the chef. I did not want the terrine. They have a good selection of coctals and wine. Marina was was absolutely magnificent.

Renee was one of our favorite meals in Nice. The food was so delicious and the price point was very reasonable. We would absolutely recommend visiting Renee when you are visiting Nice. We did the Marion pepper appetizer, the garden salad, and split the steak au poivre. Highly recommend everything!

4/10We left extremely disappointed. Although the staff were friendly, that was the only positive. We waited 45 minutes for our starter, with the excuse that the “new menu” was making things difficult. When our main courses finally arrived, mine was stone cold. By the time a heated replacement arrived , my husband had already finished his meal. For a bill of £134, the experience was unacceptable. Poor service, poorly managed kitchen, and food that simply wasn’t up to standard. We truly regret not going elsewhere.

6.5/10Warning—ask for a table inside. The tables outside are quite close to the street and consequently very loud. Inside looked quite nice, but they wouldn’t let me move despite many open tables that remained empty through my entire meal. And I had a reservation. I should have left.

9.5/10Our server was gracious and patient and witty and generous. He had to also be the manager as well because it seemed like everybody was reporting to him. He was young, but he knows what he’s doing. The clientele tends to the younger spectrum but I’m not really sure why because it’s appealing to all ages. The music soundtrack was perfect.

7.5/10Good food, nice setting. Our server was good but someone delivering our food delivered an item we didn’t order, I told her so and her response was “it’s on your order” and left it. Several minutes later after we started eating another person came back to get it but we had started eating, ended up having to buy the item we never actually ordered.

10/10The food was excellently prepared (all but the ravioli, which was undercooked - and which our server subsequently removed from our bill). Great wine selection and freshly prepared fare. It was a delightful dining experience for our last night in Nice!

10/10The food at Renée is perhaps the best we have had in Nice. The salmon with truffles was so very delicious. I also really enjoyed the sole meunière in burnt brown butter. (Not really burned) They have a great view of the sea and the service is top notch. You won’t be disappointed.

Welcoming and friendly staff. Nice vibe with great playlist. The tartare with truffle was fantastic. Followed by delicious octopus. Dessert, a cream with lavender, was light and a perfect finish. Highly recommended!

9/10Decided to try Renee based on the reviews. I can say that the food was good, and we had a great table. What was concerning was at the end of our meal, our waitress (who I believe was a manager) came to our table with the machine so we could pay. She stated, you can tip on this too. Interestingly enough, it was preloaded with an option to tip 20%, 18% or not at all. I suspect that because we were speaking English she thought she could work outside of the normal tipping culture in France, and we would not know. She is mistaken - we are well aware of how to tip in France. My husband had to select "no tip" three times to get it to accept. We did leave a tip on the table, as we enjoyed our meal but felt badly that this must be the practice for unsuspecting Americans. I would say with all certainty that when the bill was presented to the French couple next to us, it did not include an option for a 20% tip. Very disappointing.

2.5/10I normally don't like to write negative reviews, I used to believe that if you've nothing good to say then say nothing. However, in this instance I think its only fair to warn others. I'll start with the price of the food, quite expensive but we dont mind expensive meals if the food is good. This was the worst meal we had on our four day trip to Nice, in fact I would go so far as to say one of the worst meals we ever had. I ordered Seabass, husband ordered duck, we ordered sides of fries and mash. The only dish that was warm was the duck. The fries were skinny fries and were cold and bland. My husband had noticed the food sitting out for a while before being brought to us. We ate our food as we were very hungry. You might wonder why we didn't complain, not once did any staff even look our direction to see if things were okay for us. Then when we went to pay the bill the waitress was quite insistent that we add a tip. Please opt for the other wonderful restaurants in Nice!!

6.5/10Good in parts. Service awful. Ordered cocktails but they didn’t arrive until long after our starters. Nett result is wine wasn’t finished as we didn’t want to start it before we had drunk our (very nice when they arrived) cocktails. For a high end restaurant you expect better

6.5/10Ambiance was very nice and the service was good. The food however, was very disappointing. The Beef bourguignon was lacking taste and depth and was also quite fatty. My husband’s steak frites were fine, but nothing special. We wouldn’t go back.

7.5/10Very expensive restaurant. Salad definitely goes like entree not like main dish (it’s not a big portion and it is not enough if you want to it only salad ). Pasta with truffles was too fat , pasta pesto with burrata was more or less ok , but burrata in pasta was too cold just from the fridge which spoiled the whole dish
