9.5/10The overall taste was superb, though we felt that the variety of ingredients in the vegetarian dishes could be enhanced. We opted for the 5-course vegetarian menu and found that several courses had quite similar flavor profiles. Each dish, however, was beautifully presented and well-explained by the staff, which we appreciated. One minor detail was that red wine glasses were used to serve white wine, and we noticed the same glassware being used for red wine at the neighboring table. We visited for lunch and enjoyed the lovely sunshine and serene waterfront view, though as the day progressed, the sunlight became quite bright at our table. A lovely touch was the complimentary bottle of champagne as a birthday gift—thank you for this thoughtful gesture and for creating such a memorable experience for us.

10/10We recently had the pleasure of experiencing the 5-course wine pairing, and once again, it was nothing short of spectacular. The attention to detail in both the selection of ingredients and the pairing of wines is truly impressive. Each course was thoughtfully curated, allowing the flavors to shine without any pretense—just genuine quality. The service matched the high standards of the food, with attentive and knowledgeable staff who made us feel welcome and well cared for throughout the afternoon. This was our second visit, and we left just as satisfied as the first time. It's clear that consistency in delivering an outstanding dining experience is a priority here. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a memorable culinary adventure. We will definitely be returning!

We ordered a zertong fish (sole). It was cooked terribly, super dry and overcooked. Sad to attend such a nice restaurant but not being able to enjoy the food. We should have ordered a set menu, at least it looked attractive.

10/10Really nice experience like always, all is perfect at bakboord. We just didn't understood too much the artichoke dessert, the balance taste is not so smooth like all the rest of the menu, in the complex , perfect dinner. Thank you!

10/10This is one of the best restaurants in the Netherlands. Food is delicious and very creative. This is my 5th time here and I will come definitely again and again. Chef's surprise menu never disappointed me. Waiters and waitresses are very well trained, polite and friendly which is not the easiest thing to find in this country. This place is a gem in Almere.

10/10The food was super delicious, and the staff were very kind, professional and friendly. We chose the 4 course, we felt the WOW with every dish served. We spent around 2.5 hours there, in general it was great.. highly recommended.

7/10A solid restaurant with great food and service. We had a 6 course vegetarian and a 6 course normal menu. Both were a high standard and i was happily surprised that the Vegetariern menu turned out to be my favorite. the desert course was ok but not to the same delight of the other dishes (personal taste maybe). There is also a good drinks menu to go with the meals. the restaurant has a great location and a comfortable ambience. Can get a little noisy when the natives have a few drinks in them but that is the Netherlands. if you are in the area and want a good meal you cant go wrong here.

The menu was very versatile and everything was delicious. Staff is very interested and eager to make the guests happy. The only thing that could improve was the speed. But we enjoyed it a lot.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were treated like VIP. The food was exceptional and the wine pairing was perfect. Coffee and little delicate cakes/sweets are a must to complete the whole experience.
