The food is always what makes Restaurant Blauw. Every dish is prepared with great care and presentation. This is a family based establishment and the quality comes through as a result. We were greeted at the door and looked after from that moment on. It is a testament to the restaurant’s popularity that every table was booked and yet the consistency of the cooking is always there. Each dish has a beautiful balance of flavours without any unnecessary oiliness or blandness that can creep in to the food served in other Indonesian restaurants. We had the rijsttafel Selera and were presented with about a dozen dishes. Ranging from the wonderfully sweet yet slightly sharp cucumber of the acar ketimun through the juicy goat meat and soy flavours of sate kambing to the deep flavours of the beef in the daging rendang, they all hit the mark. The only problem was what to have next! This restaurant is a step above the rest. Long may it continue to be so. Well done Restaurant Blauw!

Staff were very friendly and efficient. The food was good the physical environment was fresh, clean modern. We did however leave thinking it was expensive for what it was, a very solid neighbourhood restaurant.

Nice restaurant, very kind and efficient service, super food !!! I visited Amsterdam for 35 years and love "Indish", will be back to Blauw every other time !!!

Top notch, professional service, a classy ambience and tasty Indonesian food. As a p personal preference, I would appreciate the food to be less sweet, but the execution of the vegetarian dishes was a standout. Not a vegan/vegetarian myself, but would highly recommend this restaurant to those who are. Make sure to come hungry!

Great food, I had international guests that left mind blown about Indonesian cuisine. The staff had great reccomend actions, and added the cherry on top when I shared my peace of spekkoek with everyone, to bring out a dish with one piece for everyone at the table. Will return soon!

Food is great, really unique flavours! However I still think it is a bit expensive for the quantity and “kind of kitchen”especially if shared with multiple people. However, the service is great! Nice people, professional and friendly. Really nice atmosphere. Definitely worth it once in a while ❤️
